QUOTE(tankiasu @ Mar 9 2011, 02:26 PM) Yes I got quoted by a shop in Cheras for 4.7k. Comes with standard 2-year warranty, but no other freebies. Good deal? Yes, it is a good deal. Can I know which shop in Cheras? I got mine at RM4899 in end Jan with interest free installment from Best. It sure looks like price is trickling down as well for 50V20 anticipating new models, I guess..

QUOTE(tankiasu @ Mar 9 2011, 06:51 PM) The Chinese shop in Tmn Connaught facing the highway. Yea that's what holding me back, afraid that it will drop again dramatically once the 2011 lineup is out It's a bit strange that seems like Panasonic Singapore is still making 50V20's. This is because the unit I bought is actually labeled manufactured "Jan2011" and I also saw many new stocks coming in during that time. This could mean that there is still quite good profit in this model.. Anyway, you can wait if you want but you will not know when to stop waiting because you may be attracted to the new lineup when it's out in the market later. My advice is that you just buy and start enjoying it now .. believe you know what I mean..

QUOTE(sunnyK @ Mar 11 2011, 12:48 PM) has there been any firmware update available from panny malaysia for our V series and wonder if HDD recording with the V is possible ? anyone with any idea ? You can actually connect the TV to the internet to perform firmware update directly. It will tell you if your TV has a newer firmware for update or not. My TV actually had a newer firmware than available from the internet when I perform the check. I don't think Malaysia model has the HDD and recording function. Also no digital (HD) tuner unlike the Singapore model.
