Hi all,

I just bought TH-P42GT20K today, will deliver to me tomorrow (11th June).
It was a "bundle" with Blu-ray player package, but I only want the TV, so the sales person check and check and check then sell me at RM3,000 and said I will not find any better price than this!?!? blink.gif
and... he insist me to pay by cash... laugh.gif

Only come with 1 pair of 3D Glass, additional glass cost RM599 which is very "painful" to me... cry.gif

No more other freebies, no free 3D Blu-ray disc... nothing!

One thing I want to ask, how you buddies judge which model is good?
I saw a lot of forumers here recommend "V" series, but what make this "V" series so interesting?
Which spec. are you looking at that make it the most recommended model?
Are you looking at the contrast ratio? Or is it the NeoPDP panel?

Thanks! smile.gif

Very good price. This TV is very good and have Infinite Black Pro with Dynamic Contrast.... 2 years ago how can u get this price,, you won't..
and further more have THX certified display... wow.. RM3k only very cheap lah...

That 1 pair of 3D Glass I meant was 1 pce... maybe there are left and right lens so they called it in pair? tongue.gif
Because of the high price (RM599), I only bought 1 extra pair at the moment... blush.gif

I don't think Asia GT20K will have THX and Infinite Black Pro.

It's the same panel as our V20K i.e. only Infinite Black without the Pro and True Cinema instead of THX.

Look at the specifications instead of the main page marketing blurb.

If require THX and Infinite Black Pro, only the flagship VT will have them.

The "Features" section stated THX Certified Display, but it indeed do not have THX Mode as stated in their "Specifications" section. smile.gif

If we refer to Panasonic Malaysia website, this model did had THX certified... GK Lai you already bought the 42G, are you sure no THX certified and Infinite Black Pro????
*
Hi Mickey C, as I said above, this model does not have THX Mode, but the display panel is THX Certified.
Please take note of Mode vs. Certified and you will not be confuse on this anymore. smile.gif

THX Mode is something like Vivid Mode, Cinema Mode etc... it's about picture quality settings. smile.gif

Hi yong8048 and HW-Racer,
Can you all confirm if the TV is Made in Japan also?
My previous model was Made in Singapore but this one is Japan and manufactured on Jan 2011.
Nothing special, just curious and hard to believe there are still Made in Japan TV selling locally at this price... tongue.gif

how to check this model is make in Japan?
*
There's a label at the back of the TV... nod.gif

Another thing, I noticed the front of the TV display is quite warm, but I never notice this on TH-P42A20K, that time I only knew the back of the TV is warm... any problem here? blink.gif

TH-P42A20K only have the resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel compared to TH-P42GT20K which's full HD with the panel at 1920 x 1080 pixel, thus the warmer front panel

does this 600hz thingy carries any weight in selecting a plasma tv??

what does it do?? refresh rate?
*
This is not the actual viewing refresh rate. Just to show the consumers that Plasma TV can achieve as high as 600Hz.
For the full explain, I recommend this link to you: http://www.best-3dtvs.com/guides/what-does...eld-drive-mean/
