where did u buy GT20K?? i ask the price is RM3499 with 4 pair 3d Glass.
*
this is very good price with 4 pairs of 3D glasses, which shop is offering this?

there is an advertisement of 50VT20k by panasonic offering 4 pairs of glasses

btw as for break-in, if your intention is to calibrate your panel, it is advisable to break-in for 200 hours before doing the calibration so that all the phosphor inside the plasma cells are aged evenly, and the parameters will not drift after calibration. If parameters drifted after calibration, you will have to redo the calibration again wasting effort and money

If we refer to Panasonic Malaysia website, this model did had THX certified... GK Lai you already bought the 42G, are you sure no THX certified and Infinite Black Pro????
*
GT20 does not have THX, only VT20 has THX

from GT20 specs sheet:

*
u30 is a low end full HD model, no anti-reflection coating, Moving Picture Resolution is only 900 lines

How come I can't find any info on the TH-P50U30K / TH-P42U30K models on the net? Is it a model specific to our country/region only?

I'm looking for a plasma TV, and since I've heard good things about Panasonic Plasmas, thought I might get one from them. How are these two models?
*
if you are looking for specs, here is the official panasonic web page
http://panasonic.net/avc/viera/asia2011/pr...lasma_spec.html

malaysian model will have "K" at the end of model name

Then what is the step  to break in?
*
watch your TV in wide screen everyday, after 200 hours, all of your tiny plasma cells will be fully aged, then do the calibration

you need to age your panel for 200 hours, then hire a professional like anfieldude to calibrate for you

*
no v series this year, you can wait for 2012 series

If I am going to use it as my Main monitor from my laptop and of course the TV function, any idea how much will it cost monthly (roughly) let say I use about 10 hrs a day?

Rated Power for p42u30k: 275 W = 0.275 KW
power consumption per day: 0.275KW x 10 hour = 2.75KWh
power consumption per month: 2.75KWh x 31 days = 85.25KWh
electricity bill per month: 2.75KWh x 31 days x RM0.40 = RM34.10

RM0.40 per KWh is just an average, tenaga rate ranging from RM0.218 to RM0.437 based on how many KWh you have already been used

i want to buy pana plasma tv but they never stated their response time except 600mhz drive...
may i know 600mhz equal to how fast in response time? 2ms? 8ms?
*
600Hz is sub-field drive frame rate, not response time

plasma response time is 0.001 millisecond, practically zero
