how is that possible when malaysia's population is many times bigger than singapore?

the title said that singapore has more army units in Malaysia.
it's a fact, singapore's population is around 5 million, whilst our country's is 6 times greater than that.
out of their 5million, 36% is foreigner, and the not all of the remaining 64% know how to handle weapons.
64% of 5 million is 3.2mil.
tell me from our 30mil population, we don't have 3.2m people with knowledge of weapon handling.

and you think singapore's 5 million population all are fully trained?
