Sooo...anyone here getting Iron Maiden's new A Matter of Life and Death album? I just got it and honestly, it is way better than Dance of Death, their previous album. More progressive with a hint of Deep Purple-esque/DT styles in it. If you guys hated the singles:-

Reincarnation of Benjamine Breeg
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns

... don't let them stop you from purchasing the album! I don't know why IM picked those songs as their singles, but the other tunes are far better! Tracks worth listening (IMHO) are:

The Pilgrim (definately my favourite here)
These Colours Don't Run
The Longest Day
The Legacy (very Blind Guardian-esque with its lead and rhythem guitars)
For the Greater Good of God (this might get the album banned in malaysia though I hope not!)

Not that the others are bad but Lord of Light sounds too much like Lord of the Flies from X Factor (Which I don't like) and Out of the Shadows reminds me of Bruce's own Tears of the Dragon. Still, I'd give it a 9.5/10. Definately worth getting!

And if you guys are preordering it from Amazon or Demonzend and want to add more albums to make it worth, check out Blind Guardian's A Twist In The Myth or Insomnium's Above The Weeping World. They're not out yet but I got the chance to listen to them early *hint hint*
