Black Metal
1)1349 (norwegian black metal)
2)Dissection (one of the great black/death metal act!)
3)Emperor (this is my favourite-all-time band!)
4)Demonical Crisis Assembly (DSA)... this is a malaysian black metal band, which signed with korean independent label... they're come from shah alam, talented... the new song really kicks-ass!!

Industrial
1)Mind to listen to the early industrial like GODFLESH?
2)Dodheimsgard (norway) (try seeking the album entitled "666 international" it was a groundbreaking industrial meets black metal meets techno stuff.. it was a brilliant album for me!

Post -Thrash Era
1)Kreator-enemy of god - this album is awesome.. i got their CD from their last toured in malaysia around oct 2004. You can get this CD in Campbell Complex (Kedai Auntie or Nebula Metal Shop!)
2)Slayer!!!

hello gang- finally got some new cds last nite
1) cradle of filth - thornography
2)TO/DIE/FOR -epilogue
3) InFlames-Come Clarity
4) Helloween (Old skool!) - keeper of the 7 keys pt 1

Quick review-
To/Die/For - consistent quality and pace as what you can expect from this band. very very fast, melodic and gothic. 8.5/10
Inflames- back to their roots! fast and hard but still no growling vocals 8.5/10

ive also sampled few others but not enuf budget to buy
fear factory - transgression ( didnt like the direction they are heading - seems like they are going the same path as slayer musically? i might be wrong cos i dint listen to the whole album)

Old Man Child= i was totally blown away! aggresive and melody ! i have to start collecting their albums now.

oh yeah- got these cds from prangin mall- there is a shop that sells nothing but metal cds + dvds
*
what can i say about latest in flames... the music became very slow... it's not like on their old days which sounds very technical, proggressive, melodic!! mostly metalcore nowadays really sound like gothenberg metal acts (in flames... dark tranquillity!)... Try listen to I Killed The Prom Queen (aussie act! their new album "music for the recently deceased" is not much different from In flames' sound! Another band is Caliban from germany...

yeahhhh that's right... most lyrical about human body scientifically... which Disgorge (both mexican and american) influenced from.. but this Disgorge sounds really brutal... brutal death metal + gore + porno + grindcore... the vocal just sounds like pig-voices... happy.gif

God I hate grind music. One album 20 tracks of 1-2 minute songs. Every song sounding the same and dunno what the heck the vocalist is grunting. I don't know how you differentiate different grind bands either. Play me a song each from 5 different bands and it'll all sound the same to me. My opinion. =  )

New In Flames and Soilwork is lousy. Stabbing The Drama is a horrible album. Very commercial la.

Didn't like Lamb Of God's As The Palaces Burn. I thought the production made it very unlistenable. The drums sounded like hitting paper cups and the guitars were washed out. I loved Ashes of The Wake though. I heard that LoG re-released their old album. too bad can't get over here.

Fear Factory - I wouldn't recommend Obsolete and Digimortal. Go listen to Soul of A New Machine and my all time favorite, Demanufacture. Their latest, Archetype is quite good too.

Burzum - Don't like. One man in a band working from prison...Bleh...

And yes, I agree that Slayer is the No. 1 trash band of all time. Beats Metallica anytime.

I'm into Quo Vadis and Sentenced lately, go check them out. = )
*
in grindcore music itself have different.. it's either old school grind, metal or punk side grind... you'll found that they're sounds different on each genres but still with some grind influences...

-grindcore (traditional one... track by track take less than 2 minutes... refer napalm death and repulsion (1st pioneer in grindcore!)!!! lyrics more into social/politics agenda)
-gore grind (impetigo, last days of humanity, lord gore etc)
-grind death (terrorizer, carcass etc...)
-porno grind (lividity, cock and ball torture etc)
-grind-crust (sounds grind with mix of punk and hardcore... Cripple bastards, totallitar, chuck norris, crustina aguilera, aktiv dödshjälp etc...)
-mince core (agathocles etc..)
-noise grind (check out... anal ****, anal blast etc..)
-shit grind (hahahha the band talk more dirty about shit story on the topics...)
-fat core

it's so many many genres to differentiate... it's enough to said by here...

not forgetting those who couldn't affort a leather jacket would opt for checked shirt instead. yup those happening 90's era. back then all of the kids were united. no segregation between punks, black, death, etc.

but glam rock was a major no no tongue.gif
some people might mistook them with stamping ground.
*
yeahhh i miss that moment... in 90's mostly i listen to metal stuff and i'm active participated on zine making back in 96... always wore my leather jacket with bathory backpatches.. lol

anyone here went to metal fest part 1 in paul place last month? my friend will organize metal fest part 2. Part 2 should be done last 2 weeks ago but dark-e voci just call and told that there's somebody report to the police to mess up the gig.. so the gig had been canceled then.. I wonder why this shithead always mess up the metal scene.. since our metal scene became smaller then, this arsehole trying to attract publicity to head onto media concerns... vmad.gif

i don't think that MM is an industrial band. On every album, MM try to sounds something different there.

Added on January 16, 2008, 7:56 pmanybody wanna let go any original Loudness shirt (L size) other than "thunder in the east", especially their Soldier of fortune, Devil Soldier or hurricane eyes t-shirt?
