hey guys.. i love metal but i dont know how to differentiate between the genre.. like black metal, industrial.. bla bla.. can explain for me?

i basically listens to megadeth, children of bodom, inflames, dimmu bogir, cradle of filth, arch enemy, iron maiden, pain of salvation(some of their songs don really sound like metal so i don know XD), soilwork, metallica, nevermore and slayer.. thats all i think..

but i only love cradle of filth(godlike vocalist) and children of bodom(great guitar!)!! best of the best!!

hey i didnt notice dream threater is a progressive metal band their music rocks! any other progressive metal bands? i hope to find something almost similiar to their music!

hey trivium are good man.. their music is nice.. only that the vocalist isn't good enough.. his screaming (or scremo ) not good enough.. compared to inflames..
