i am more into old stuff...
anybody remembers: pungent stench - modD got the only album which will make my collection complete terrorizer - jesse pintado, david vincent, pete sandoval earlier band before joining/forming napalm death and morbid angel repulsion - one of the grindcore pioneer gorguts - it's like a combination of obituary vocals with morbid angel heavines pestilence - nice blend of melodic metal back then fear factory - 1st album rocks! meshuggah - nice to listen to although the tempo a bit weird infectious maggots - m'sian very own industrialist catarrh - pahang very own death metal ossuary - s'pore death metal/industrial misery loves co. - swedish industrial band cannibal corpse - love eaten back to live album passenger - project band of anders friden (inflames) and niclas engelin (gardenian) i forget this band modar - m'sian 1st doom metal band This post has been edited by Air Hendrix: Jul 21 2005, 06:42 PM |

QUOTE(suicidalxbliss @ Jul 22 2005, 12:24 AM) i only have one fear factory album in cassettes, that my dear would be ff's soul of a new machine i took it from my uncle whom i hated i dunno which, because the writings blur already but it has some soldier-ish thingy, some line i remembered, is about rifles something it goes, " my rifle is my life, my life is my rifle? and the only mp3 i have of fear factory is cars. and they sound so different from the ones i have on cassettes. the full rifle thing goes like this... "this is my rifle there are many like it but this one is mine my rifle is my best friend it is my life i will master it as i will master my life without me my rifle is useless without my rifle i am useless" This post has been edited by Air Hendrix: Jul 22 2005, 07:29 AM |

QUOTE(leonlwf @ Jul 22 2005, 12:07 AM) God I hate grind music. One album 20 tracks of 1-2 minute songs. Every song sounding the same and dunno what the heck the vocalist is grunting. I don't know how you differentiate different grind bands either. Play me a song each from 5 different bands and it'll all sound the same to me. My opinion. = ) my advice to u is to listen to those songs one at a time like what i did to sex pistol's kiss this. i thought it was a total waste of my money but after listening to the songs one by one, i'm hooked. This post has been edited by Air Hendrix: Jul 22 2005, 12:41 PM |

QUOTE(suicidalxbliss @ Jul 22 2005, 01:24 PM) ya, that's the one! it is INDUSTRIAL music. of course you will feel like you in a factory. get it? INDUSTRIAL... FACTORY... bad jkit's military-ish and i feel like i'm in a factory. with all the metal clanking sounds. btw the song cars is a cover of gary numan song. that explained as to why they sound different. abt the rifle part, i'm also trying to master my 'rifle' |

i guess the reason why some people don't think that mm qualify to be labelled as metal band was due to the media overexposures. their shock potrayal of somekind of a monsters and their explicit lyrics does invites curiosity among media journalists thus making it some sort sensational...

QUOTE(modD @ Aug 4 2005, 08:08 PM) agreed. that would be a tough one since i really need to dig deep inside my store room (if i have any)and to really listened back all those old cassettes before i could come up with the list.btw, anybody know what happened to the 'original' incubus? i remember the vocalist and drummer are howard brothers. |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Aug 5 2005, 10:43 AM) yup they play death alright. during those scott burns and morrisound studio era in early 90s.not much interesting things to highlight about them tho. only a bit surprised to hear that all of a sudden incubus had made a comeback. but was later dissapointed as this new incubus has got nothing to do with the old incubus. |
