ex5 dream was not as good as the previous ex5.. this is for sure.. i own an ex5 for almost 8 years.. bought at 2000, and dissappear from the bandar tasik selatan lrt station parking lot at 2008.. really really sad because it was a present from my late father as i was accepted into the upm... anyway, the one that i used before never had a single problem.. just need some maintenance on the engine oil, and brake pad.. really low maintenance.. its not as fast as yamaha lc, but it did a great job. never stranded besides the highway for engine problem.. last 3 years my brother in law bought ex5 dreams. i donno about others, but his bike got so many problem.. from fuel meter, to the carburator, the coil.. add in a rim that causing tyre flat..
about the lc, yes i admit its really nice bike.. really fast, and really good kind of style.. but for those who are goin to buy lc, pls equip yourself with a good type of bike lock.. use every lock that available.. because its the most wanted bike in malaysia.. there was a case, when i was goin to buy modenas, there was this guy who are also waiting his turn to do the payment. he told me he bought lc a few month ago.. just after 3 weeks, the bike got stolen at the ampang point.. he was there just to get a set of burger.. later, the bike dissappear.. but this fault was by his own.. he didnt locked the bike properly..
i took modenas gt128.. wave was way too small for me (95kg man)... but it still a solid engine.. so i say go for honda wave..
