Question! I just registered for the online warranty (1+1 year), I don't have an invoice since I paid cash so I uploaded the receipt instead.
Then I noticed this 'reply card'. What is this for? I have 2 imei stickers to stick in the card (one HTC copy, one my copy) but I don't have the dealer stamp. Is this card important? Wouldn't the online reg itself be enough?
Currently enjoying stock rom, when I get used to it will root.

QUOTE(EternalC @ Mar 9 2011, 10:09 PM) my case is one warranty card taken by shop one taken by myself. i did have the dealer stamp, and i only have receipt only too, i havent uploaded it tho.. did you get a reply email from HTC? anyone know if uploading the copy of dealer receipt of the phone is a must? will it void or cancel my warranty if i make a claim without uploading it? Added on March 9, 2011, 10:12 pmops, sorry bro, i saw the MD5 codes when i was doing the S-Off thingy, basically MD5 is an alphanumeric codes lol. u use Rom Manager to install clockworkmod? If you did the online registration it actually prompts you to upload the warranty invoice (just like the first page said)... I uploaded my receipt instead. Will ask the lady at the digi place I bought it from, will post here when I find out.

QUOTE(syuki @ Mar 12 2011, 06:07 PM) which backup did you mean..? basically no need to s-on thingy back.. @tarbana90 to restore back to Stock ROM (s-on etc), i also need to learn because never had in mind to restore back.. Hey it help thanks. Also, stupid question but better be safe then sorry, the backup of the settings/contacts/etc. should be done before both root and flash right? → If you want a clean install, choose wipe data / factory reset (you can find it inside CWM Recovery). Does this sentence mean I can install the custom rom with my current data intact?

For the S-off and easy radio tool thingy, I get a connection error. I am suppose to run this on my PC, with my phone connected on charge mode with USB debugging enabled right?

Why everytime I try to enter into recovery mode it just restarts my phone and goes back to the standard OS? Isn't some sort of console suppose to appear?
I tried via Rom Manager - Boot into recovery mode.
I tried via the volume down + power - click recovery.

QUOTE(Calex @ Mar 14 2011, 12:36 AM) Did you flash ClockworkMod recovery? Open the ROMManager app and press the first option to install it, then you can access recovery. Yes. I did. Added on March 14, 2011, 1:15 amTried reinstalling Rom Manager so i can redownload CWM flash, but didnt work as the flash it not uninstalled when i deleted rom manager. Suspect some setting or whatever is not allowing me to enter recovery. Oh well. This post has been edited by Sesshoumaru: Mar 14 2011, 01:15 AM

Oh man, is there a professional service available for flashing? Sigh. Worst case is I'll factory reset, and then start all over again....

Managed to set up internet, but having trouble getting into market. Forever stuck at the login google account screen. As though some specific internet settings need to be applied
