Please dont listen to d pharmacist or pharmacy assistant. Dont create unnecessary resistant straint of P.acnes which makes it more difficult to treat later. There are guidelines to treat pimples/acne depending on its severity. Accutane or isotretinoin is still drug of choice in more severe acne but close follow up is necessary. Female must be more careful and should be on contraception if taking the drug. Anyway dont simply get treated from pharmacy. They just make money without much knowledge. Its a shame its frequently happening in Msia. Anyway treatment of acne to prevent scarring etc is better left to those who knows well as its not as simple as giving same med to all patients with acne.
