I think the later if working outside malaysia. More like getting overseas allowance hence the basic should not be built into it.

Daniel.N Amel.  7K ( no inflation adj) is really not that much. Remember? Malaysia going to get average USD15k by 2020 soon.

Need also consider none monetory as well,  job security, example the feel good working with NGO group and etc.

Many people a bit shit about the bond like this. Like kind of "slave agreement"

good luck

Added on November 17, 2011, 3:07 amMy Turn,

39 yo,
Group mgmt accountant
13k ( after epf, b/4 tax)
professional cert cima
some esos ( my company esos sometime rugi one)
medical, tol, petrol
flexible working hr ( this is the best)

I am ok with my salary, but higher a bit no harm, extra can donate for charity ma

I only spend 2k per month, mother 1.5k,  no debts, no luxury lifestyle, mostly play basketball, running, swimming,  play with my pet,
My problem,

1)I save alot. people saying i am very stingy. but i just don't like buying this and that. People said my excuse.

2) People said, I have no life, but I am doing very good, sport & pet.

3) I always want to retire early, But I am workholic,

4) I only invest in low risk, reit, unit trust, amanah saham, epf. People said I have "no ball"

oh ya, my wife p/a @2007 due to cancer.

sad.gif I'll try to achieve my goal before I reach 30 - earning 5k at least.
I know someone who was born in 1989 and already earning 2.7k basic, IT helpdesk.
Thanks for your advice, you sound very knowledgeable.  biggrin.gif
I am more into application support, not developing, just support.  icon_rolleyes.gif

But u said u only have 1 year experience. Year u are born is totally different because u can born 1970 but only have 1 year experience or someone can born 2001 but have 10 years experience smile.gif

I guess i can share mine.

when i start working, i get 1.5k for the first 6 months, after that revised to 1.9k. another 3 months later, revised to 3k.

23- 1.5k-3k
24- 4.5k-5k
25- 6k+
26- 8k+
27- 9k+
28- 11k.

maybe the figure can motivate some ppl that first pay cheque not really that crucial, what important is the job itself can gain valuable experiences. brows.gif
*
wow how come revise until so high in a short time? did u get alot of promotion or something?

plz share your trick thnx

I've work with one ONG operators during my early days, and the HR manager thought our salary is way too high, which is obviously is not true since most of us come from different operators and we know what our industry paid us normally.
So yeah, some HR didnt do their homework (obviously am not pointing at you  smile.gif  ).
*
That happens when they start comparing salary. SO back to my assumption, HR people have to get enough salary so they dont feel jealous. Its human nature afterall and HR should know better.

Just curious, who prepare the salary for HR people? Will be weird if they prepare their own salary right lol

dont think you're underpaid. For sales job usually they dont give high basic but rather higher commision. So your take home salary will be quite high. 3k+ comission and drugs sell in high quantity especially those essential druugs

cool

I said "sounds like". Probably you missed out that part eh? smile.gif It is not even a conclusion.
Previously there was a forummer here who was earning 2.5k in O&G industry, and with few years of experience.
So, in short again; O&G doesn't really guarantee good pay sometimes.
*
ok sorry for missing it. I guess youre right. OnG doesnt guarantee good pay. Maybe only for the engineers/off shore.
