QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Jun 10 2011, 11:18 AM) To work 18 days on weekends and public holidays? what did u mean here??? I will need to work 18 days per yr if company functions or event or anything laa it fall on weekend or PH, and cannot claim OT/replacement. But after i used up the 18 days only the company will start paying me or replacement. In another way it means i'm working free-of-charge for the company for this extra 18 days.

QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Jun 10 2011, 11:32 AM) Alright.. now I understand. However, I am not too sure why your company have such a policy. Basically, 18 working days is more or less equivalent to 1 month. But it all depends on you bro, if you can learn and gain valuable experience in this company, I think it is still worthwhile for you in your future career path. yeah, and i only hv 12 days annual leave which means they company earn extra free 6 days working days from me. it's so unfair. eventhough its worthwhile but we still work for money right? that's why we work. hahahaa...

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Jun 10 2011, 12:49 PM) @CruelKiss 100-200 bucks increment every quarter which means 400-800 bucks per year.. thats HIGH and you actualy benefit more than the amount stated cause u get ur increment quaterly which would mean u start earning more earlier.. right! But he has the right to not give the increment also. then end up will be extra work less paid! isshh Cant always let the company take advantage from employee. And if they ask us to go outstation all they give is allowance which is of cos is a must but cannot further claim?? is this reasonable? This post has been edited by CruelKiss: Jun 10 2011, 12:58 PM

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Jun 10 2011, 03:25 PM) @Cruelkiss No point you getting greedy on the small money Look for the bigger goal. Basic is what that matters .. Allowance given during outstation is normal.. Whether to allow you to further claim or not depends on company. There are quite a lot that do not allow further claims so this is the industry norm. ok back to the extra 18 days weekend working, what if I choose not to accept the 18 days weekend working and worst come to worst the company cut off my 100-200 increment.

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Jun 10 2011, 04:02 PM) @CruelKiss If you're unhappy, go look for another company. Whether your qualifications / experience suffice for you to get another job may be subjective. And whether you like the new comp or you ended up in a company where the culture is the same / sucks even more will also be subjective. From what I see, your increment is pretty high. MNC's median increment range from 3 - 8% (assuming this is yearly increment, promotion is not included) .. so take your pick. the boss took away my allowance but it is just only RM 200. and you know what he asked me when i was discussing with him about the 18 days working day? he asked how is he going to explain to the others employee that in my contract i dont have this statement whilst others have! FYI, my boss say our contract and salary all can be review by others staffs!! LOL!!
