When looking for new opportunities, I think the question you have to ask yourself is : How much more value can I add to the new company, to be able to ask for an extra RM1.5k?

Do I have any value added skills? Any good networks I can offer the company?

i think you pointed out a good question here..

during these few weeks while i was hunting for new job, i was actually thinking about with my experience how much offer i can get on the market. when a company interested in my cv and called me for interview i will prove myself worthy during the interview. i have to say that i'm not good in promoting myself (while i'm learning to), thus i'm more interested in proving myself through technical test paper. if they see my results are good and still interested in me, when it comes to negotiating the salary/benefit portion part, that is where i have my card to play.

if by any chances i got an opportunity to work with 6k salary definitely i will try to prove myself worthy to the company..

hello im working in an accounting firm now

if i have lets say 8 years of experience + master degree + professional membership, can i get job with salary more den 10k?

kind of subjective. depend on where you spent for the last 10 years? audit firm? or commercial.

Audit and tax at local or big4? Commercial: MNC, Chinaman, SME? Currently drawn salary? Current position? Current role n responsibilities? And other factors to determine the salary range...

if u try out for Financial Controller or Manager post level at commercial firm maybe can get rm10k~

I'm from civil engineering background, worked for almost 1 year dy after graduating. Doing specification selling, technical support, design, site problem solving, testing, and conducting seminars as well.

ur salary is including mileage or it is only ur basic salary? i got many friend working in big 4 accounting firm, and their salary isnt that hight.

just out of curiosity, which audit firm are u in? i thought most of the audit firm gave 0.85/km?

currently there is a basic salary revision for all the big 4. From 3.9k to 4.2k

Somemore salary range is based on performance as well.

For the travelling claim is 90cents per KM. My mistake.
1km for RM1 is the old rate. They revised it lower.

Currently for the peak period, they gave hardship allowance of RM600 too for Jan - Apr. Not included in the basic salary.

Quite good. Some MNC is RM0.75 only

guys.. i wanna ask your opinion about my trouble.. not sure whether this thread is the correct one or not.. here goes..

1. my current work now allow me to claim around 1.3k per month, but i need to work extra 2hrs daily for it
2. i got an offer from other department in my company with increment to my basic for RM700

now i'm kinda confuse.. which one better guys?
