Darkspore is an upcoming video game based partially on the 2008 video game Spore. It is described as "a fast-paced, sci-fi Action-RPG in which the player battles across alien worlds to save the galaxy from the mutated forces of Darkspore."The game is set to be released on March 29, 2011, for Windows.
lets make it simple, its just like diablo series...
The game is mediocre, but some people might enjoy it. The problem is with awareness. In this month alone which EA game are you more excited about? Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2 or Darkspore?
Weird game is weird. They are not even trying hard to market to the hardcore since this is a diablo clone and they certainly aren't doing the marketing to get casuals like with Spore. EA Maxis should stick to the type of games they know how to do.
Maxis announces on the official Darkspore forums that they decided to take a little more time "to incorporate more of your feedback" before launching the game. Instead of its previous release date of March 29th, the sci-fi/fantasy action-RPG will be coming out on April 26th in North America and April 28th elsewhere. As well, there is mention that the beta testing will open up to the general public sometime next month, as opposed to the invite-only closed beta action that has been going on in recent weeks.
