it seems good enough.. considering you gate pillar is 2 feet wide on both side. I looks like it's already the max size you can go..

which one is better...? by symmetrical 2 feet both side or 3 feet + 1 feet...? planning to have just a small garbage bin at one side...

but i see normally the developer make it unsymmetrical for both side....so is it ok if i just make it symmetrical...or it will be unusual...?

I think, symmetrical or non symetrical is not an issue.. it's owner's creativity..
Most of the time, I see the pillar is at least 2 1.5 feet wide, including mine...
maybe because the pillar needs to be big to support a heavy gate..

i thought swing gate should have wider entrance compare to folding gate... blink.gif

i think so too.. after folding... the gates at each side gonna take like 1/2 or 1 feet of space.
Anyway, it's not that significant.. I'm not trying to discourage or anything ...
