Just sending an email to zazabackpacker, and they have replied in less than half an hr.

Thinking to book a family room, since you guys have good comments on this guest house. I found that the price is not much different, perhaps adding extra RM50 to stay in hotel. Guest house rate is between RM60-80, Hotel is about RM100-RM120 ( 3 stars).

I have some queries regarding Mt Sorak, do you guys think it is necessary to stay overnight in Mt Sorak? I intend to get a daily package or perhaps venture by our own. Which option is better? I scare that we will get lost if we go by ourselves. ( Will go during Oct)

This is the package that I found online, which is quite expensive but it covers all the nice places in mt sorak.

Hi all.. I have come out with preliminary plan for my family trip(4-5 people) to korea trip in Oct. Hope to gather some opinions from public.

13th day 1 - reach late at night, overnight at myengdong ( airport transfer 75000 won (RM210) by hostel arrangement, is the price reasonable? )
14th day 2 - tour ard Seoul, visit palace
15th day 3 - Mt sorak (not sure if it is advisable to stay overnight or come back straight to seoul, the journey from seoul to mt sorak takes about 4 hrs :S)
16th day 4 - Nami + Everland (is it worth to go Everland? Since I am bringing my parents, dont think that they will enjoy the games there, but somehow Everland is ranked as 4 major theme parks in the world, and carribean bay is ranked as 'must see waterpark award at the IAAPA' so I am still thinking should we visit..? )
17th day 5 - Jeju
18th day 6 - Jeju
19th day 7 - Fly back from Jeju to Busan in the morning, then travel by bus or subway or KTX to Gyeongju
20th day 8 - day tour to visit Gyeongju, take bus back to Seoul
21th day 9 - Seoul (* free day - shop ard)
22th day 10 - Back KL

Thanks ! smile.gif

What's your definition of tour Seoul? Quite impossible to do so in one day.

Mainly tour around palaces, perhaps will choose two palaces to go.
Where would you recommend me to go in Seoul town? I have read your blog, quite nice, though I am keen to see their kimchi making class, but I guess that I will skip.

Has anyone been to Soraksan? Is it possible to make it within a day, traveling from Seoul?
Read from some website, long queue is expected to take cable car.

Is it worth to go Soraksan? I am thinking to drop this place and visit Nami instead, as it appears that it is quite rushing for us.
