but how is the travel card different from t-money, if you don't mind me asking?
*
If you mean Seoul City Pass Card, visit this site. In short there are two seoul city pass cards :

1. Seoul City Pass Card (1day pass, 2day pass, 3day pass) : You can use Seoul buses and subways up to 20 times a day.
- Seoul Buses : Blue, Green, Yellow Buses. But You can't board on Red Bus(intercity buses) , Incheon Buses and Gyeonggi Buses. In short you can only use Seoul buses.
- Seoul Metropolitan Subways (Seoul + Gyeonggi + Incheon). But it's not clear that AREX(Incheon Airport Railroad) is also available.
- Seoul City Tour Bus
- Not Refunded

2. Seoul City Pass Card + : It's basically T-Money Card with some additional functions such as discounts at some tourist location.
- As I said, it's basically T-Money Card. You can use T-Money card almost everywhere in Korea even though it's basically used in Seoul Metropolitan Area(Seoul + Incheon + Gyeonggi). It provides transfer discounts on the basis of Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Fare System(Seoul + Incheon + Gyeonggi). About AREX, you can pay it by T-Money card but Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Fare System is not applied to AREX(both commuter and express train).
- Refunded with some restriction.
- About T-Money, Visit this site.

Hey guys,春川明洞 and 明洞 are two diff place is it?
*
明洞 = 명동 = If koreans say 명동(myeongdong), it usually means Myeongdong in Seoul.

But there're several 명동(myeongdong) in Korea, other than the one in Seoul. So peoples attach the city's name before Myeongdong for distinction.

春川明洞 = 춘천명동 = Chuncheon Myeongdong = Myeongdong in Chuncheon City.

I asked this because I plan to stay in Gyeonggi do after returning from Jeju. If Gimpo nearer to Gyeonggi do then I stay 1 nite there instead of returning to Seoul.  Better for me to return to Seoul the next day.
*
Seoul Subway Line 5, 9 and Airport Railroad(AREX) stops at Gimpo airport. See this subway map. Gimpo airport, based on administrative area, belongs to Seoul. I don't know where you will stay at, but the travel time between Gimpo airport and Seoul station is about 30 minutes by subway. In short you don't need to worry about it.

Tks for your input. I plan to visit Geonggi do and now arranging my itinerary. That is why I wanted to know if is better to overnite in Gyeonggi do when I arrive from Jeju instead of going back to Seoul and return to Gyeonggi do again the next day. What do you think?? Should I just stay in Gyeonggi do upon arrival in Gimpo or back to Seoul and go to Gyeonggi do the next morning??
I can answer this when you specify the location. If you say only Gyeonggi do, it's so vogue. And as I said, Gimpo airport belogs to Seoul, and nearby cities are Gimpo, Bucheon, Incheon, Goyang, Gwangmyeong etc.

This is what I plan to do. My sisters and I have different departure day. I'll stay until Day 08 but they have only 06 days and we want to make use the limited time of the stay. My question if is better for us to stay at Gyeonggi do from Jeju on Day 03 rather than return to Seoul and come back to Gyeonggi do again the next day. From the map, I can see that Gimpo is not far from Gyeonggi do.

Day 01
Arrive Seoul at 0710hrs. Chk in at Myeongdong guesthouse. Visit Gyeongokbung Palace, Namsan Park, Namsan Tower, Myeongdong and Itaewon.

Day 02
First flight to Jeju

Day 03
Jeju to Gimpo flight 1500hrs. Overnite in Gyeonggi do. Visit Suwon Fortress and King Sojeon Tomb.

Day 04
Visit Petite France, Korea Folk Village and MBC TV station. Return to Seoul. Visit KBS TV station.

Day 05
Visit Bukshanan National Park and Insadong.

Day 06
Departure back to Kuala Lumpur
*
Day 03
Jeju to Gimpo flight 1500hrs. Overnite in Gyeonggi do. Visit Suwon Fortress and King Sojeon Tomb.
Day 04
Visit Petite France, Korea Folk Village and MBC TV station. Return to Seoul. Visit KBS TV station.

I think you should re-arrange the Day3 and Day4 schedule totally. I don't think you can visit both Suwon Fortress and King Sejong Tomb(I think it's King Sejong Tomb even though you said King Sojeon Tomb) at the same time, considering your flight arrives at 15:00. And Day 4 is also somehow tight because the distance between them are a long way. For example it takes 2~3 hours to go to Petite France(Cheongpyong) from Suwon, and from Petite France to MBC TV station(I think you mean MBC Ilsan Dream center) would take 2~3 hours. All of these belong to Gyeonggi-do, but tyring to visit all the locations is almost impossible, considering that you use mass transportation and the openning time is usually 09:00~18:00.

What about like this:

Day 03
Arrive from Jeju. Visit Suwon Fortress.

Day 04
Visit King Sejong Tomb, MBC Ilsan Dream Cente (not the same with the MBC TV station??)

I take out Petite France and Korea Folk Village since we will visiting Jeju Folk Village & Museum while in Jeju.
*
MBC has two tv stations, one in Seoul Yeoui-do and other one in Gyeonggi-do Goyang city Ilsan-gu(called as MBC Dream Center. Drama or entertainment show were shot at here)

If you don't have any special reason to visit King Sejong Tomb, I recommend other Chosun Royal Tombs in Seoul such as Uireung, Seonjeongneung, Jeongneung etc, or Jongmyo Shrine(World Heritage) in Seoul instead.

Day 03
Arriving at Gimpo Airport -> Go to Suwon city by Bus (Bus at Gimpo Airport) -> Go to Suwon Fortress(homepage) -> Staying at Suwon

Day 04
Go to Seoul -> Visiting one or two(if possible) of Royal Tombs in Seoul(homepage) -> Go to Goyang City -> Visiting MBC Dream Center(homepage)r -> Back to Seoul -> Staying at Seoul

whats the different between Day Ticket/Night Ticket
one-day ticket/admission? For Everland.. confusing.  rclxub.gif

website stated Day Ticket-38000krw while Night Ticket-31000krw.. if i want to stay ther whole day then i need to purchase 38000+31000krw?  shocking.gif
and in order to enter Caribbean Bay,we need to pay again rite..
*
Day Ticket is all day long ticket and Night Ticket is after 5 p.m. If you want to stay there all day long then you have to buy Day tickect.
http://www.everland.com/MultiLanguage/engl...ket/ticket.html

If you want to use both Everland and Caribbean Bay, then use 1 day combi or 2 day combi.
1 day combi ( 68,000 won ) : For one day you can use both Everland and Caribbean Bay once.
2 day combi ( 79,000 won ) : You can use Everland for one day and Caribbean Bay for another day.

You mean the fastest way to Daegu? It surely depends on where you depart from, but usually KTX is the fastest one.

I going over to Seoul from 23th till 31th Jul.

Just want to ask about this TMoney thing what is that is it something like touch-n-go...for subway purpose ?

Did anyone of you bring your mobile as well ?
They said my iphone cant not be there I still got my N86 Nokia with me can i also use that as well ?i recall it was a trip-band phone... ?
How about the map on iphone ?
*
T-Money is transportation card. When you use subway, bus, taxi etc, you can pay for it by T-Money Card.

About roaming, see this sites :
SK Telecom Roaming Service
KT Telecom Roaming Service

This sites provide information about various roaming methods and call/sms/data plans etc, and you can ask what you wonder to its customer centers directly. I think you can arrange it before you make a trip.

abt the T-Money..they charge 900won for 12km am i correct? does it mean no matter how many stations i transfer as long as im still within 12km limit then it will be 900won?

Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi introduced so-called 'Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Fare System'.
QUOTE
Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Fare System

It's basically distance-based fare system(with some exceptions), which impose a fare based on the distance you travel. There's a calculation formula in this fare system, but it's hard to explain here because it's a complicated one. Just remember that this distance-based fare system saves the expenses when you use buses and subways, especially when you make a transfer.

You are right, except that it's 10km, not 12km. Say, you make 10 transfers and the travel distance is 9.9km, then you pay the basic fare (900won, up to 10km).

If you want to calculate the fare, visit this site : http://www.seoulmetro.co.kr/station/eng/linemap.action

Jisan Ski Resort and Gonjiam Ski Resort may be closer to Seoul, but Elysian Gangchon Resort is more convenient if you use public transport.

one quick question.
if travel early of june next year,
the possibility that i will miss the cherry blossom is high right?
so when is suitable date?
or is it base on ur luck?
*

This is a list of cherry blossom festivals nationwide. As you can see, most of cherry blossom festivals occur in early and mid-April. I think even May would be too late to expect cherry blossom.
