Hi mate,

if the battery percentage drops 1-2 percentage daily when you're not using it, it's consider normal.

That is sleep mode, it's still consume battery power in sleep mode.

And iPad will consume very little power even you turn-off it because iPad still need very little power to supply it's system date & time even you switch off it (just like our hand phone and computer)

By the way, for iPad 1st generation, it's recommended to buy iPad Battery Case that fit with iPad. iPad 1st generation didn't fine tune of it's power consuming (unless you go for iPad2). It's now got iPad Battery Case 8000mAh series that can let us playing iPad continuously >24hours, and I wont get headache regards problem of out-of-battery since this case is fit to my iPad and I just need to plug USB attach to this casing while charging my iPad tongue.gif

It is possible that you have not shut off all the applications you have used during your session. The secret is to shut off all applications that you use.

Push the Home button (the middle one at the bottom panel) quickly twice and you will see all the applications opened displayed at the bottom panel. Press and hold any icon more than 2 seconds and you will see the icons vibrating with a (-) circle at the top left of the icon. Press the (-) to stop the application. Do that to all the application and then press the home button again once to go back to the main screen..press the sleep button to shut off the screen. By doing this I can leave my ipad for up to 2 weeks without the battery being completely depleted.

Actually, I dont think its normal. Sure the batt will drop if you dont use in a week, but normally there is little or no affect within the same day. I would send it to Apple just to be sure that your batt is not defective. Apple stuff are good, but their QC is not 100%
