Anyway, considering Castrol's price are rocket high, for rm80 it is quite a good buy..... Even if I buy in a box of 6 still cost rm88.....

No offence but I don't trust the Shell engine oil there. I was about to buy the 5L Shell Helix HX7, I put it onto my trolley and a while later decided to open the bottle cap to check if there's any seal, there was none.

So when you go Tesco and try to buy these promotion oil, their bottles are usually oily/dirty/leaking.

I heard oil for European market is much cheaper compare for asia market. Retailers import so many so they can make offer and $$$. Is it true?

We can't be sure, might be diff in packaging only or also in the formulation. But assuming the same rating & genuine oil, it won't overheat our cars.

because people go open the cap, sure lah leaking.. sweat.gif
in the bottle no seal but at the cap inside got rubber seal. Maybe in EU they are using this way to seal.

If the rating xW-40, it shouldn't be a problem right? Only the low rating not suitable for us.

Don't you think that you should not open the bottle cap if you did not buy the thing? sweat.gif

I also bought the promotion oil, it did not have seal like others said... Tesco sells fake oil?

The grade of the oil tells the quality guys. 10W/40 made in EU is the same with 10W/40 made in M'sia.

Yes I have checked with Tesco that the oil is 100% genuine cause they import from EU. I trust what they said, or else Shell/Castrol would have taken legal action against them.

Hi,

Thanks for checking with Tesco as they have a promotion now for Shell 5W-40 at RM140.
I was thinking of buying it for my Waja.
