biomedical engineering is still too new in Malaysia, it needs some time before it takes into shape.
DO NOT see the job prospect in US... they are highly advance... same case with Biotech.. US very good prospect.. but here very low prospect.
I have a friend studying biomedical not biomedical engineering.. they learn almost the same thing with a doctor... but not the practical stuff only like treatment and surgery. and yet his prospect is in the lab doing research. the role of a biomedical grads are still very limited here in Malaysia.
As for Biomedical Engineering.. in my opinion this course will be quite tough cause u are touching medical and machines... if u ask me about prospect in Malaysia, i would say not really good cause not much research are being done in Malaysia yet. Limited companies here doing this, therefore low prospect. Even the government are not doing much research on this. well, that's my opinion only. please correct me if i'm wrong.
