hi all,

just out of curiosity, i was wondering what's the criteria to buy low cost house ? does the government do check who can be elligible to buy ?

There are different eligibility criterias for each state. You can get it from the local councils. Must be below certain household income. Must be born in the state or staying there for x years, etc.

One question. Is there any law that make it compulsory for bank to lend to low cost housing buyer?
I know for sure most bank won't entertain your loan application 'cause of low profit margin.

developer do not build low cost nowadays due to higher cost on land and materials.
there is some before mainly for the compensation of removal the squatters. price arround 75k +-
you may have to find in subsales market which price increase to 110k +-
about the loan approval, as long as your income can support, any bank will approve you.

depends on what type of low cost, if the one compensation from the government or developer, then no need to ballot.
but Mr. Dern never mentioned what kind of low cost he want.

i don think developer manage to built a 600ft2 low cost with selling tag not more than rm42k

pr1ma hse is less than 400k. there is not right. like that recently launch Pangaea and Skypark also < 400k. should count by psf. People want to stay at confortable hse. at least build > 2000sf with < 400k

i think we can get it 10 years ago, condo or link house with 2000sf built up @ 400k
