Therefore if I'm looking for some affordable FX portrait lens for now on my D7000, the best option would be 35mm f/2D as it'll be 52.5mm on DX?
*
best on FX and also DX? i guess 85mm are the best if u can work out with the focal length.

check this guy street potrait. is awesome.
85mm on DX.

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 7 2011, 11:44 PM)
Initially I opted to pack for this lens with D7000 body. However, I'll be missing out the wide coverage as I'll need it, therefore I make a go with the kit lens and slowly save up for the next gear.

I tried the 50mm f/1.8D which lowest I managed to get offered is RM380 + Free UV filter. However, I'm trying to fit myself to collect only FX lens on the run as my long term target would be moving to FF. But of course, I can still sell later if I'm getting DX lens smile.gif
85mm too expensive for my affordability now sweat.gif
Thanks for the pricing smile.gif

Where can I shop for Crumpler's bag? Any recommended shop? unsure.gif
*
play around wit ur 50mm smile.gif
u'll luv it.

i'm on DX too.
i gav my 50mm to my sis when i got the 35mm.
happy with the sharp f2 and wider 35mm. but later i found, i miss the 50mm. lolx.
sold & get the 50mm 1.4 instead. tongue.gif

as mention, is soft at 1.4 but sometimes, it's acceptable to create a little dreamy feel of street smile.gif

85mm will need to wait i can afford an FX body. lolx

Just got a DSLR from my bro. It's a D70s and i am totally new to DSLR. Wanna ask you guys how do you focus a subject which is not at the center.
*
manual and more reliable way.
focus with ur center, then move ur frame to recompose. smile.gif

unless ur camera are already well composed on a tripod, u can use the multi direction selector to move the focus point if it's not locked.

That means I focus first (pressing the shutter half way down) and then move the camera until the subject focused earlier is at the side before snapping?
*
yup. smile.gif

According to my friend, General_Nic, it's cheaper by few ringgit, like RM5. But if you use don't know what thing or card, then got 15% rebate if not mistaken. Gotta ask him  laugh.gif
*
7% GST rebate?

Because they can keep poison me and say this good this good, this is my stupid reason.

Looking at the Flickr, i also got poisoned d. But need to hear more the complementation from the user to the lens.

Currenly my poison percentage of 24mm is over than 16-35mm f4 , that y i need more 16-35mm f4 poison.

Keep telling myself 24mm is way expensive although is GOOOD lens and go to get 16-35mm first.
*
LOLX...
just grab 16-35mm. not enough then get the 24mm. lolx.

i'm tempting to get 16-35mm too.. tongue.gif
after i settle the deal of 80-200mm

then slowly making my path to FX. Muahhahaa

I don't know about entertainment users but I myself who only seek mac for 3D application working purposes (I major in digital animation) found that many 3D programs can't be fully supported by Radeon already. doh.gif

For movie? Yes. I prefer Radeon's colour than Nvidia. My entertainment desktop that connects to my LED TV housing 2 crossfire 5870s thumbup.gif
*
cause Nvidia are better at workstation graphic card.
radeon excel at gaming graphic card.

"Don't try to think how to do it in a Mac, but instead think of how to do it with a Mac". We don't transport our Windows knowledge to utilize a Mac smile.gif

Most ppl dun transport OS knowledge to work, instead they transport a software knowledge to work.
A lot of software required 2nd & 3rd mouse click to work...
tats y apple gave up thier 1 button mouse and give us a mighty mouse.

In the days of Windows 98 and Windows XP, you are right. But not anymore. You got a point on the last one though. But to me, it'll be the opposite. I don't think highly of people with Macs.
