I'm still sticking to the "Nikon Professional Leather Bag" LOL
Fit D3s + 24-70/17-35 + 70-200 + SB900 with extra space at front and back flat compartment.
*
Waah.... that leather bag with such cheap quality think strap can fit in so heavy stuff? Don you feel unsecure??

Well kind of comment do you want?
*
User feedback on these 3 lens? Coz Sigma70-200 n nikkor 80-200 have no OS/VR, but is fast 2.8 lens, den the cheaper nikkor 70-300 has VR but not a 2.8 lens, which 1 wins shooting handheld low light? and also color outcome in daylight?

About RM3.5k for a used one now if not mistaken. I bought a used 1 on 2009 for RM3.8k and sell it away after 1 year for RM3.8k again, no $$ lose tongue.gif
*
How's 17-55 compared to your current 24-70??

I wanna ask, wat is the IQ difference btw Nikkor 17-55 vs 16-35, any comment? Wanted to get a better standard wide angle lens to replace my Tamron 17-50

Oh, I was in the same situation. I went with 1635 mainly because it is a FX lens. Glad I didn't go with 1750 cause I would have to sell it away now when I've gone up to FX.
*
How is the sharpness n quality difference between the 2? since the 17-55 is more expensive =.=. and the 2.8 aperture, can the VRII f4 compensate equals to f/2.8? 4 stop VR rite?

Why bother with that lens since the 16-35 F/4 is sharper, lighter with VR and most of all cheaper?  cool.gif
*
Did u compare the sharpness n performance btw 16-35 vs 17-55? Is the 16-35 weather sealed?

17-55 i can't use since i am on FX  tongue.gif  so didn't bother comparing, 16-35 is weather sealed, now all my nikkors are weather sealed  brows.gif

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 13 2011, 07:09 PM)
In this case, I prefer the f/2.8 over the f/4. But no choice, FX system can pump ISO easily tongue.gif. If on DX a bit cham lor.
Weather sealed. And the 1635 is a Nanocoat, the 1755 is not.
*
Does the Nano Coat makes a huge diff in the end outcome?

If you were me, seeking a better IQ lens up from Tamron 17-50, which 1 u guys will get? the 2.8G DX or F4 VRII N?

Which part of the tamron that u are not satisfied? If i were u i will get other lens before upgrading my present equipment, at least I get to try other focal lenght.. What happened to your 70-200vr2  tongue.gif
*
Coz VRII is a big investment, lol.... usually I use more of wide angle standard zoom focal length to walk around always, I scared I get the VRII and stuck in da dry box, at least invest in somethin I use very often, like I use my Tamron alot..... so plan to change to a higher quality lens

Truth to be told, telephoto lenses are seldom required in daily usage.. My 70-200vr2 only sees the light during wedding  laugh.gif

*
That's y lor... I think since 1st larger investment on lens, get a more "shi ji" de lens.... I mean higher IQ reproduction, more robust like weather seal

If shooting a dark scene with a f/2.8 needs iso 1600 to achieve 1/10s, by using f/4, how much iso i need to compensate to achieve same shutter speed of 1/10? Sorry I hav no knowledge in counting these....

f/2.8 to f/4 is 1 stop (or is it 2/3 stop), so worse case condition is 1/5s. Piece of cake for 1635 VR.
Done in Lightroom, extra touch ups done with Photoshop smile.gif.

Wow.... 16-35 seems like a nobrainer over the 17-50, I'm wanting to carry a better sharper lens for travel soon, juz the f/4 is my worry for dark condition, so frm yr claim, if I've no prob shooting with 17-50 VC means no prob with the 16-35F4N biggrin.gif Den now I can slowly hunt see if there is any good used copy out there

70-200VRII get in HK icon_rolleyes.gif

coz after you have corrected the fish eye like distortion, you have to crop the side of the photo. hence, less resolution.
i see it as tighter composition. i won't get 16mm angle anymore, it's more like 18mm or 20mm. so for what i am doing, the 16-35 is basically useless.

Using Microsoft Paint?

Wondered how bad is the distortion of 16-35mm f/4 VRII @16mm compared to 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 VRII @16mm.
