D700 replacement will be one model let's say a
and D3s replacement will be another model let's say b (I use a and b as I don't know what the model name will be)

P/S: D3 is discontinued

D700 is basically smaller ver of D3, without the built in battery grip, 9fps and dual CF slot. ISO performance is very similar.

D800 is to replace D700 only, not D3s, but don't be surprised if D800 performance is better than D3s because different generation model already mah, just like how D7000 surpass D300s performance.

that's why i sad 2nd gen product A sure win product B, but not all...99.9% like that...if win 100%, then product B is no point continue production... <-- now this is my point.

but your example of d90 win over d7k over ISO performance is completely wrong.
product A is losing to product B as product A replacement of D700 and product B is replacement of D3s.
Price will tell the truth.

I read review see both noise handling pretty same for me d7k slightly better....

where as D90 ISO 3200 is doubtful.

ya he didnt say d90 win all la... he just said he like d90 noise handling (maybe he meant d90 noise handling quite decent), other wise d7k sapu 60d and d90 of course.
