QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Mar 14 2011, 01:49 PM) but sigmalux is famous of their bad quality control right? i wouldnt say bad quality control ... if about focus issues the pro bodies wont have a prob as they can manually tune their front or back focus ... as for consumer bodies like us we need to send it back to them for calibration with our body ...I am ready for manual focus on UWA for the timing instead of upgrade to d7k. I think the lens is worth for investment. get the lens first or body first? |

QUOTE(ReeNz @ Mar 14 2011, 01:57 PM) agreed with that statement ... but have to add on that the 12-24 is better at preserving details ...i am using the tokina 11-16 myself ... Added on March 14, 2011, 2:01 pm QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Mar 14 2011, 01:59 PM) how much does it cost for a calibration bro? under warranty is free ... what they do is add digital data of the lens to ur body ... so it wont effect other lenses ... the service centre is in Damansara Perdana ...when I calibrated my body will all my other lenses goes off focus? where is it located? just tried out the 16-35 on my D90 ... i am amazed by its sharpness even at f/4 ...
its going to be a hard decision to make between the 17-55 & the 16-35 ... |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Mar 14 2011, 10:09 PM) i was giving it a try cos it has VR plus its cheaper brand new than the 17-55 ... not forgetting it has Nano coating as well ... the distortion on my D90 is not as bad as on a FX body ... really headache ...FX lens with Nano coating & VR or DX lens with f/2.8 & longer range ... |
