Since no one replied my post in the ipad discussion thread, so...

My ipad suddenly cannot turn on. It shows on the screen i need to connect to itunes, but when connected to itunes, it says it cant read my ipad and needs to restore it. So i did. The thing is the restore cannot be completed because it got an error 1013. Ive checked some websites and they say i need to try this: http://www.redmondpie.com/fix-itunes-error...4-to-ios-4.2.1/

The thing is in that hosts file, there is no gs.apple.com in it. I even tried with different cables, different PCs, and still cant restore it. Im using the latest version of itunes by the way

Hopefully someone in here can help me fix this. If everything fails then ive no choice but to send it to Apple

3 ways to try and kick it out of "restore" mode

1) Jailbreak it with greenpois0n 6
2) &3) use either iREB or Tiny Umbrella

Good luck

i think the firmware is fine. Coz i used the firmware before this thing happened. And i tried to jailbreak the ipad but it failed everytime. So i guess i better send it back to Apple.

OT: does machines accept warranty claim for stuffs bought from other place?

Hi mate,

you can look for me if wanna jailbreak your iPad smile.gif

Regarding the "stuffs" you bought from other place, i assume it's the iPad you mean ? if so, iPad is international warranty(official receipt must be presented when claiming warranty).
