Can I use hot water for eW-7?
Do not use hot water. This product is not made for very high temperatures. You can use water up to a temperature of 35ºCelsius
Why is eW-7 called Energy water filter?
The e-Life uses unique micro-clustering water technology. As such, it helps promote overall wellness & boosts energy levels, rejuvenating your body and improves hydration.
After using the product for some time, the water flow rate has slowed down. Does this mean the unit is faulty?
This is a sign of impurities accumulating on the cartridge, hence choking up the filters and resulting in slow water flow. The filter can be cleaned with a clean sponge, which will regain a faster flow rate. Frequent washing / brushing is recommended.
How often do I need to change the cartridge?
The cartridge has a capacity span of 8000 litres. Depending on the level and frequency on usage of drinking water, this can easily last 12 months or more.
Water continues to flow or drip even when the tap has been turned off.
Once the tap is turned on, water starts running into the unit. The air trapped in the unit will be compressed by the raising water levels. The water will continue to rise until the air pressure is strong enough to hold against the water pressure.
When the tap is turned off, the compressed air being of higher pressure will start to push the water out of the unit, resulting in remaining flow or drips on turning off the tap.
Proper installation is necessary to reduce the amount of air inside the unit.
Why is there no water coming out from the unit, when the tap is turned on?
Here are a few checks before suspecting there is a problem :
Is there incoming water ? (Was the main water line turned off during installation?)
Was the installation correct with diverter to tap, hose to base?
For new cartridge/unit, has all packaging material/shrink-wrapping been fully removed?
Was the cartridge installed according to given procedure which should reduce air trap?
There could be air pressure built up within the unit which prevents water entering the unit.
Perhaps the cartridge is choked & requires cleaning / maintenance.
When dispensing water from e-Life, I can find black/small particles (particularly during the initial usage). Does such material have adverse effects for the human body?
The cartridge is made primarily of carbon material & thus also black in color. The material you found are likely to be some loose carbon particles & other filtration matter which upon dispensing could have been flushed out of the cartridge. Such filtration matter/discharge do not pose any detrimental effect on health nor the human body.
Upon initial installation, users are advised to run the eLife water for at least 5 mins prior to drinking. To expedite the flushing / purging of particles, you may press the outlet of the spout for 1-2 sec to allow the pressure-build up within the unit & release.
How to handle leakage at:
1. between the top housing & base
2. diverter to tap
3. hose to diverter
4. hose to base unit
5. Check if the top housing is well-tightened onto the base. Ensure the o-ring is installed properly. If not, finger-tap the o-ring into place within the grooves, then tighten the top housing into the base o-ring.
6. Check if the tap fits the diverter & ensure the gasket is in place. Tighten the diverter to the tap properly.
7. Insert the hose properly to the diverter. Use a hose clip if necessary, available in most hardware shops.
8. Check if the hose has been inserted properly & tighten the screw nut.
Can I keep the water overnight?
To ensure water quality, it is recommended for water to be consumed within the same day. If you are going for a long vacation, it is advisable that the cartridge be removed and stored in the refrigerator, wrapped in a plastic bag to help prevent bacterial reproduction.
