Morning guys, I'm totally new here, and having tons of question marks about PSN. icon_question.gif

From last month, I'm thinking about to buy a PSP GO, since i like the design more than PSP 3006.
So, I'm figured it out if i want to play games, i need to download from PSN since there's no UMD for PSP GO. (Such a pain in the butt as i want to support original...)

And now here's the problem : I know nothing about PSN before, but i gotta do some research about it, and it seems like different region provides different language game as well as the account region. I'm highly doubt that i'll start to downloading the correct game after i had my PSP. So what should i know more if i want to prevent this? If i'm planning to register a new account, the region should be UK or asia? Isn't that all the PSP game language are region-free? hmm.gif

Lastly, I am very appreciated of any helps if you do. And I would like to have some useful links about PSN or any problem related with PSP games language from you guys if you don't mind. Finally, have a nice day to everyone in LYF members. nod.gif

u can create multiple psn account, i bet each of us here hv more the 1 psn account. ill give myself as example. US EURO Jp Malaysia Sg HK, i hv all of those regions psn account. reason for many account is , sometimes u get some promo being released on 1 region and its not available for other region , things like that.

that being said, im using my US PSN as my main account, my trophies and whatnot is on there. games like ff7 8 9 ( all English language)is only available on US and EURO if im not mistaken. for the asian PSN , most of the games are in japanese for Psone title. im not too sure about PSP titles, but im certain that for wider choice , u really need to register US PSN.

anyone else care to comment maybe someone else is seeing it differently.

u can also go to the FAQ http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1772845 and scroll down to Playstation network to get a better idea.

i praised u for wanting to go all original on PSP front. not many will do that.

Thanks bro. That's surely helps me clear tons of question marks in my mind. Phew... notworthy.gif

Since I'm playing most of the game are in english langauge (Know nothing about Japanese and Chinese... doh.gif ), so I should create a UK account as my main account. As for another region, I'll create a account as well, but for demo downloads only. It's that sounds like okay for me to get the jobs done? Since I found out many people do as you said. icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh yeah, if I want to download any games in english, I should check on the region first or language first? For an example : I found out 1 of my favourite game in english language, but it's in UK region or HK region or even another region and so on, at this point should I check on the price to do the comparison? Should I just get back to my main UK account to purchase and download the game too?

And by the way dude, I'm also quite worry about going all out original on PSP, sounds like not worth at all, but hopes that nothing goes wrong with my first PSP. wink.gif

i think it's better if u make US PSN as main instead...most of the games in UK PSN is already in US PSN anyway...
plus US is cheaper n guaranteed to be in english...

nothing wrong with playing original games btw...i'm also playing original only these days...

Never support pirates!! I repeat DO NOT under any circumstances support those leechers... I despise them to the gut... vmad.gif

Anyway, since it does not involve in trophies and stuff with the like of it, its okay to have either EU or NA account.. But, like what ray said its best to just open an account when it come to gaming.. Having it all over the place is really a pain.. Because you have to activate the account region compatible with the game..

Let say you bought a game from NA PSN but suddenlly you want to play a game from EU PSN.. You have to then delete your NA account on the PSP then login to EU account in order to play the game.. This happens to me.. Lol... So, its best to stay at one place.. Unless you are Square enix fans where their PSOne tittle came out faster in EU than the NA one, if so then you can buy it from EU.. However, there are certain games like say Persona 3 portable which will not be available in EU PSN untill late this year while the NA store has it for over a year.. And there are quite a number of discount in NA PSN store as well compare to the EU one.. Just check it up on some sites or PSN store itself once a week..

Speaking of asia region, I never had psn in Msia or HK cuz some of the time its not confirmed english..And nothing much up there.. In my opinion though.. Maybe cuz I seldom check on those two places.. And If you fancy some early demos or some PV that rarely make it out of Japan shore or will be out much later, you might as well just get a JP PSN.. They have quite some pretty stuff up there..

Well, enjoy your PSPGo.. biggrin.gif
