Sorry my store do not have roomba 581, for that 581 is a local retail model, but the set is without the important AeroVac bin.
Even using lighthouse for that perform on standard bin also not pikeup as much dust or hairs on floors.

Recently my store only available model for roomba 561 with standard Bin or getting extra AeroVac bin.

For the Neato will be more noise than roomba if you mean on faster mapping for cleaning stage, for me I'm still prefer on roomba cause I not need the robot cleaning on floors to keep as faster done the job.
Most of time I'm not at home and I was let my roomba to vacuum on my floor much more better cleaning.
And the Neato without sidebrush, if the wall edge have the dirty or then on Neato can to pike up wall edge. Then u still need do it by own.

For roomba I can said this is works perfect on my floors with AeroVac bin and wall edge with corner can pikeup as much better done.

From Neato user I have fews only
He is recently bought from me also from LYM :
Shotiwoth, he using it and so far so good.

If for the reliable I still prefer on Roomba cause roomba & Scooba already sold up to 100++ units,

Tyuesi she also bought from me already half of year and so far so good.

She bought from 1st set is a remanufactured but that time i'm still quite new on Irobot experience before delivery and test with check up.
So she received got minor problem after I prefer she exchange the brand new for her and using until now no issue

From amazon or eBay they selling the set is a brand new or has been used we dunno after ordered and received and found got problem then still need to send back US?
The cost ealisy can cost you $150-200 USD for 2 ways.

So my set had tested up before delivery if got any issue only the minor one can be replacement by customer.

If Neato totally cannot self repair, only allow you to send back for me and bring to my supplier for repairs.

If compare the floor cleaning, I only can tell you get the roomba you won't regret.
Roomba got sidebrush and Neato dun have.
So on the wall edge roomba will well perform.
If you wanna clean up for dust definitely is a Neato only clean up the bin all the rest still very clean not need to pull out hairs to stuck over on brush or somewhere else.

Timber or wood flooring I think is should not be problem for the sidebrush is still very soft when spin.
Cause on normal timber floor top have coating.

Hi.

For that roomba can able works with carpet or hard floor and wooden type, only roomba can't work with black color carpet.

When roomba sensor detect on black color thing and will stop over.

Don't don't worry roomba won't work with carpet in USA 80% residential using carpet for home.
Any type can be works.

Only you will suprise the smaller roomba can be pikeup as much more than regular vacuum

Hi, do you mean the laminated or timber & hardwood all should be no problem.
The sidebrush wont scratch on the floor.

The roomba design is suitable for carpet, timber, hard floor.

Hi, if your house have own a pet's or using some carpet then I will prefer you on roomba with AeroVac bin.

If you just need the high-tech, just go on Neato,
So far Neato still have minor issue on wheel spring & RPS error then have to send back for repairs.

On more on Neato blocking area must be using the magnetic strip, if your house got child then this is always missing and play like toys.

If quality & durable just get roomba 560 after fews years still using, the model made from 2007 have friends still using until now.

For battery around 2-2.5 years then change new and keep well maintanace should be no problem.

One more thing must be hardworking to pull out some where long hairs stick on bottom side of roomba then can be saving lifespan.

Hi, the 550 has been phase out no more production already.

For my available model only 532, 560 & Scooba 380.

The Scooba 230 only suitable use in small kitchen & toilet area. Actually the 230 for me just like a toy.

Yap normally roomba will take for whole house working cleaning job on 1 and half hour, but you have to monitor a bit of the chair putting properly and don't let the roomba entry and can't to go out for other place.

Usually when the roomba cleaning works but you don't take too focus on his working for you, if not I think you may take a note why huh the others place won't go, after fews second and see the hairs has been piking up ha ha, that's something impressive
