QUOTE(trifecta @ Mar 3 2011, 05:36 PM) I've got news for you, SSL has been broken since 2009 Damnit trifecta.. now ayam scared to do online banking with SSL broken now. Well have to VPN then in this case to do online banking. It was presented at our local HITB, much earlier than that at Defcon, Ruxcon, KeySecWest etc. Here's a detail technical explanation courtesy of Techrepublic: SSL Really Broken This Time In South Korea, the government has banned the use of SSL for banking as it does more harm than threat. Instead, Microsoft has to made its browser friendly to PKI and Korean government only mandates the use of Windows OS and IE. Every time MS releases a new browser, South Korea needs a lead time for them to configure the PKI. |

They wont have access thru your phone number and just follow the safety features from the bank itself.i think so. but they said, now we need TAC, how can they get our TAC code? i think its safe |

Even Maybank2u has improved their security by asking random security questions for certain transfer (I think for high amount transfers) together with the TAC code as well.

Nowadays, anyone can easily hack to your Facebook or Twitter if they're in the same Wifi or Ethernet as yours. All they need is Firefox + addon called 'Firesheep'.i think so. but they said, now we need TAC, how can they get our TAC code? i think its safe source: http://fancyshowtech.tv/2010/10/the-reason...ifi-ever-again/ |

Online banking service provider like M2U, CIMB are always looking into beefing up their security, whether it's their user facing services like M2U or their internal servers etc. Fact is, the attackers works 24/7/365 around the world to find loopholes, and there will never be a 100% solid proof. Its always a who's on top of who first. Meanwhile, users themselves have to take precaution, always always keeping abreast of whats the latest threat. |

just make sure you're on secure internet connection and virus/keylogger free computer. avoid internet banking on Cybercafe or on public wifi. moreover with TAC code it's almost impossible for them to do any transactions without it
