I personally customize things according to what I need, not for "oh so fancy effects". As for current computing powers, those simple customizing softwares like docks, theme manager, gadgets, etc won't really hurt the performance at all. (I'm looking for good functionalities and minimalistic)

For wallpaper, I usually just hit this website: http://www.hdwallpapers.net/
(but my taste so "strict" that hard to find any good things easily lol...)

I didn't feel rocketdock slow downs my computer, rainmeter may slow downs the start up speed

Rocket dock should be the best dock for now since it's free.Object dock is not bad but u have to pay for it.

Objectdock is free, objectdock PLUS need pay~Rocketdock is best free dock, objectdock plus is best dock what i pay for this objectdock plus? nothing

Well , object dock or rocket dock or whatever dock.
Most of them do the same function , - as a dock.
However objectdock plus have a advantages which you can multi dock and have "Tabbed dock".

Currently using ObjectDock Plus <3 love it.
