Introduction

What is Bada?
Bada in Korean means ‘ocean’, in Hindi it means ‘big’. Samsung’s phones are going to use bada. Did you find any relation between the two sentences? If you haven’t figured it out, I will tell you what Samsung bada is. It is the Samsung’s own mobile software platform for smartphones.

Why Bada ?
It has features such as plenty of UI controls, Flash support, and sensor support help applications to be more interactive. Service-centric features such as in-app purchasing, SNS integration, and push notification help applications to offer customers a richer, more interactive experience.

The Wave
The Wave is the newest offering from Samsung, and boasts a very high specification and top end technology that will appeal to smartphone fans the world over.
With regards to design the Samsung Wave scores top marks. The ultra slimline chassis has an impressive metallic look and feel that stands it apart from the competitors. The display boasts a staggering resolution of 480 x 800 and can show over 16 million colours, but perhaps the most impressive aspect of the screen is its use of new super AMOLED technology.

Introduction of bada OS

Bada: Ocean, Sea
Samsung bada is a smartphone platform released in 2010. The word “bada” means “ocean” in Korean. Samsung Wave is the first bada-powered phone.
For developers, bada will bring a new blue ocean of mobile applications. For customers, they will have a wider choice of smartphones with cost-effective yet powerful bada-powered phones.

History of bada
Samsung bada has long history. Almost 10 years of history. It has been Samsung’s proprietary platform for a long time. During its long history, it has been deployed in many successful handsets. For example, Samsung “Star” is an example of recent successful phones, of which sales surpassed 10 million units, just six months after its release.

To make the proprietary platform smarter, we added exciting features such as multipoint-touch, 3D graphics, an enhanced UI, and of course, application downloads and installation, and so bada was born. Samsung bada is proven to be reliable with its history and also enhanced with its new features.

Vision of bada
The vision of bada is “Smartphone for Everyone”. bada’s main goal is not to compete with other existing smartphone platforms. Instead, bada will turn Samsung’s conventional customers into smartphone users by providing cost-effective smartphones. This means that bada will open and extend a new smartphone market, which does not exist in the current mobile market.

Features of bada
Even though bada supports a wide range of devices, bada is powerful enough to turn your imagination into powerful applications. With high end devices such as Wave, bada fully utilizes the power of hardware for the ultimate application experience. Even with mid-range or cost-effective models, it also provides powerful features for better application experiences.

Features such as plenty of UI controls, Flash support, and sensor support help applications to be more interactive. Service-centric features such as in-app-purchasing, SNS integration, and push notification help applications to offer customers a richer, more interactive experience.

Solutions for Samsung Wave GPS Issue

Just few simple steps:
1. "Enable location services" (Setting-->Connectivity-->Location)
2. Access "LBS Test App" by dial code *#4097*4097#
3. Make sure that under "Application setting" menu
you "GPS mode" is "Standalone" and "GPS Device-Type" is "Hybrid"
4. Under "User setting" > "Assist Method" is "GPS+"
5. Under "Test Application"-->> GPS+ -->> Download Data
6. That All..GPS might lock within 1min time

*** Turn off "Use Data Packet" if you do not want to incur any extra phone bill. Meanwhile, you can instead by turn on Wi-Fi.

Way to lock the GPS signal faster
1. The thumb touch phone at mid point
2. The point fingure and midle fingure touch "samsung " label of batt. cover
3. All the other fingure does NOT touch the cover.

Through this "way", it claim that the phone can gain GPS signal up to +12dBm, hence, the phone can faster lock the GPS status by better signal. Between, it also stablize the GPS connection and avoid sudden lost connection.

***Believe or not ? Try out yourself

Battery Issue

Doubt about your battery performance?! Just the test by your own self to determine whether your battery has any problem

1 Stop all running apps (long press the command button/diamond button in middle of the handset) Leave widgets to run as you will have to re add them all again.

2 Remove from home screen any widget that use GPRS or CPU checker/ battery status. (don't uninstall just place them under the keypad off the home screen).

3 Turn off all push messages and sync for facebook, twitter email etc (under my accounts).

3 Refrain from using any apps for at least 3 days.

What you will notice is that the phones battery will last a lot longer than 2 days. I have tested this and my battery lasted almost a week and then I got bored of not using apps and turned everything back on and killed my battery lol.

Few tips to prolong battery life.

1. Set location services, wifi, bluetooth off whenever not required.

2. Set display to lowest brightness.

3. Set network to manual.

4. End widgets which are not required.

5. When using any app there are 3 ways to exit
~1 using an exit button in the app (not all apps have this)
~2 using the command/diamond button (which leaves the app running in task manager).
~3 using the end/hang up key (which terminates the running app). I always use option 3

6. Reduce the number of content enabled widgets, like accue weather weatherbug, currency converter, feed and status updates etc As they regularly refresh and use GPRS which will help drain your battery especially the ones that do it every 30 mins.

7. Have your SNS contact list only to sync once a day or sync manually.

8. Turn off Push SNS message for facebook & twitter (unless you can't live with out it).

Another way you can do is:

In your keypad dial code *#8740#, make sure it shows AP UART, if it shows CP UART then dial code again *#8740#.

For your information, AP UART and CP UART detail as below:
