i tried many times to update from 1.0 to 1.2
always get this FirmwareUpdate has stopped working
using Windows 7

i removed Kies, downloaded and installed it again (got from Samsung Malaysia website)
downloading firmware upgrade components works
but once i click Start upgrade, the program stops working same as before
i noted that Kies looses connection with the phone at that point, though it recovers in a few seconds - is that normal?

i updated to the latest Kies version but the firmware upgrade still crashes at the first step every time, Preparing Update Components phone is surviving though

check you have the right settings selected
Settings > Connectivity > Network > Connections > then click Yes to view and select one profile
