index drop few points only, but gainer vs loser is about 100 vs 900

despite all the good news about this company, recently really drop like nobody business....

just try to hold it, when the market recovers, mah sing should shoot up too. now all counters dropping =/

wow, nerve of steel biggrin.gif (but i have closed a bad wound that cost me 30% lately; not to mention the tense when Air Asia dip to 2.35 in February laugh.gif )

i got good news for you, Mahsing, after hitting sideways for 18 consecutive trading session (almost 1 month), it has come to a point which i belief it will be trending again, either way.

The bollinger begin to compress lately and seems to me as a sign that it will start moving again very soon. Based on past movement, this will last for 6-7 trading session before moving again.

will keep dropping....not a good time to buy property counter for short term and mid term gain...of course dun talk about Long Term....Long Term u can enter any time....if u plan to sell the next 1 year...then better dun touch...u need to keep at least 2 to 3 years ....

By the way, we are looking at approximately +45% in net earning y-o-y basis. This does not warrant a surge though for Mah Sing has been unpredictable in many ways....

They gonna pay 11 sens dividend for FYE 2011 and 45% higher than last financial year. The catch is, the pay date is September 2012 LOL.


And the share price is stagnant. LoL

Something that may not be relevant:

1) At a projected EPS of RM 0.30 (Q1 = 7.2 cents), the old price of RM 2.01 is valued at a P/E ratio of 6.37. In comparison, SP Setia P/E range from 22 ~ 24. Though SP makes more profit in absolute dollar & cent (not by much), Mah Sing provide better EPS to equity holder.

2) Leong Hoi Kum recently revealed that Mah Sing land bank has a GDV of RM 16B which can keep the company busy for next 6-7 years. (Compare to SP RM 19B)

3) At the rate of current growth, Mah Sing is likely to match SP in term of sales revenue and profit in 3 years. Ceteris Paribus, market capitalization should factor in the underlying potential.



Most importantly, the price will move when the price mover say so. Why and when, go tokong ask better...

Mah Sing Group records RM2.5b sales for 2012

Mah Sing Group Bhd recorded another bumper year in 2012, secured sales of more than RM2.5bil and unbilled sales of about RM3.16bil.

It said on Wednesday it was targeting 72% of its sales of RM3bil for 2013, a 20% increase from 2012, which is in line with their existing scale of operations with 40 projects.

Mah Sing's group managing director cum group chief executive Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said to support the RM3bil sales target, the group planned launch projects worth RM3.7bil in 2013.

As for the fourth quarter 2012, net profit increased by 35% to RM55.4mil on the back of RM441.4 million in revenue. Basic earnings per share were up 36% to 27.6 sen.

Mah Sing to pay RM18.7 mln less for Pasir Gudang land

Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) has inked a supplemental agreement today, to pay about RM18.7 million less for its latest 546.21-hectare freehold township land in Pasir Gudang, Johor, marking its fifth township in the state.

“The new terms would see the Group pay some RM411.16 million over 24 months, for the land, representing a reduction of about RM18.7 million from the RM429.87 million initially payable over 48 months,” Mah Sing in a statement today.

Both parties entered into the supplementary agreement, after concurring to reduce the purchase price, in exchange for acceleration in payment to the vendor/existing chargee.

It said the land, acquired on Oct 1, 2013, had an estimated gross development value of about RM5 billion, and was expected to be developed over a period of seven years.

“Besides tapping demand from Mah Sing’s existing township of Sierra Perdana, just 18 kilometre from the new township, there is a ready catchment of 100,000 in Pasir Gudang alone.

“ Its location between Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Langsat, and its proximity to Penggerang, provides a latent demand for housing,” the company added.

2nd Qterly revenue is not down but up vs last yr's 2nd qtr.
Last yr was RM420m, this yr was RM536m, an increase of 27%.

High end residential property (Klang Valley areas) still got space to boom? I think the demand is still rising and most developer is taking measure on controlling the market's environment.

Mah Sing buys land in Penang for new township with RM400m GDV

Mah Sing Group Berhad has acquired approximately 76.38 acres of free hold land for RM42.59 million in Penang for a new township, Southbay East in Jawi, with a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM400 million.

In a statement Tuesday, Mah Sing said Southbay East is located 6.6km from the Jawi Toll on the North-South Highway and is about 7km to Taman Perindustrian Nibong Tebal. The fledging township of Nibong Tebal is located just 4km away.

It said the new guarded township also featured clubhouse facilities.

The development will offer a range of products appealing to the mass market including link houses, linked semi-detached homes, semi-detached homes, town houses and shops.

The development is expected to completed over the course of 3-4 years.

From what I read...

The warrants is FREE with the Rights Issue but they're detachable, means that u can sell the warrants on open market after they're listed.
I may be wrong, this is just what I interpret from the announcement.

Odd lot? Sell/buy some shares to get round figure lo! tongue.gif

I'm surprised at the sudden rise. It's not like Mah Sing has a glove factory already and is cranking out gloves biggrin.gif

It will take them a minimum of 12 months to even be able to produce one box of gloves, let alone reach commericalisation stage

So far the official info is

6 production lines expected ready for operation Q2 2021, followed by another 6 production lines by Q3 2021

There will always be demand for gloves but will final price be lower than even before covid (more supply than demand) --there is a possibility because so many companies plus current one is building/expanding glove factories. Sri Trang already said they want to become the largest glove maker in the world.

Right from the start, this is what I worry the most. If I feel that glove price (1-5 years later) will still be higher than before covid, it gives me more confidence to hold gloves LT but without that assurance, hard to hold for too long.

don't be confused.

comfort is no. 6 and has 53 production lines, production 6 bil.

to be no 5, u need to beat riverstone, production of 9 bil.

they and the big boys have taken >30 years to get there.

Mahsing CEO say they gonna expand to 100 production line (with no timeline) and aim to be top 5 player..

6 lines on Q2 + 6 lines on Q3
50 lines means until when.. not to mention 100
what is the demand that time?
