hi guys, have u noticed tat dutch player always get injured?

RVP cannot play(doubt) against barca after a brief spell of injury-free
Arjen Robben always injured back then at chelsea,madrid and even munich
VDV now injured @spurs

can you point out some others? what could've caused this? is it just bad-luck or dutch players is REALLY prone to injury? injured then 2-3 match played injured again. man, if i were the manager i get fed up n sell the player d

well, with injuries, they make up with bloody good performances. susah nak sell those kind of players.

Robben terrorized the full backs for Bayern
RVP scores goals for Arsenal

i can't remember dirk kuyt,nistelrooy,dejong or van der sar got injured for a long time.

i think it depends on the player's position and what role he play.sometimes players wanna do what their body can't do and hence the injury.look at robben.how many others can dribble like him?he looks like octopus when he runs with the ball,very tricky and slippery.

well at least it's balanced out by kuyt..that guy is a freakin stamina machine

yeah i do get tat once they're healed they put the fear in the opposition. but the frequent amount of injuries sometimes doesnt make sense.

and i do believe all the great team out there must n need at least 1 dutch player to succeed. like van basten, ruud gullit. and they're the kind of footballer who'll adapt anywhere in the world. unlike ingelish player

where do asians fit in the croud?usually they are being used as utility player though in recent times the emerging creative players(especially from Japan and South Koreaa.Iran supply them players for years~) played as deep lying midfielder such as Honda,David Ki and Hasebe.

Asian full-backs are quite dangerous IMO. Sun Jihai did well during his time in Man City, Lee Young-Pyo in PSV and Totteham. For midfielders just look at Honda, Nakamura, Nakata, Ji-Sung. Their ability to see things (spaces, making good decisions) made them special in some way compare to EU players. If you expecting them to win FIFA Ballon d'Or against the likes of Messi, Aniesta then hard la. Asians just made their first appearance in UCL finals in 2008 and that's Park Ji-Sung against Chelsea in Moscow. IMO Asians not good in strikers because of the culture. Compare with western countries, we're more numeric than creative people. Of course there's some exception.

brazil also not bad in produce full backs ... roberto carlos, cafu, alves, gilberto, maicon ...

There isn't any empirical evidence to suggest that players from a certain continent or country are more susceptible to injuries. I can just as easily name players like Jonathan Woodgate, Jamie Redknapp, Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves, Ledley King and Darran "sicknote" Anderton, and say that English players are injury prone.

agreed.to add to the list,defoe,walcott,joe cole.torres and fabregas are injury prone as well.

like i said before,it's down to how the players play their game.

can even add french players into the list. Louis Saha, Djibril Cisse, dan lain lain lagi.

Correction, Nistelrooy did have his lengthy time on the treatment table. one before joining MAn Utd, second while at Man Utd, and 3rd at Real Madrid. the best thing? all because of the same knee.

actually u should say SEA (south east asia), only SEA population is more "midget", generally Japan,China, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi, Korea, HongKies, Taiwanese, Pakistan, India, they all are 180cm height generally

haha winaton bogarde i remember him. played once for chelsea then injured then not selected at all!

Winston Bogarde was not injured throughout his whole career in Chelsea but more like being isolated and due to his "unprofessional" act of not willing to terminate his contract. He still played in reserve match until his contract ended in Chelsea and he couldn't find any other better offers like Chelsea so he decided to retire.

South korea did have tall player,but they are still flimsy compared to their european counterpart(Park is just as tall as Roo but Roo looked at least 30lbs heavier.Lee is just as tall as Kevin Davies but Davies is more muscular)
