Sean, do not pay 20% of tax, as I checked with custom before for mobile phone case as long as it is not genuine leather case, at max there will be 10% sales tax only.

I called Jabatan Katam Diraja Malaysia (03-7806 7200) before to find out the tax/sales tax impose on mobile phone casing, becoz earlier I wanted to buy Lifeproof case myself, but due to the queue too long and I found your thread, hence decided to go with u.

Have u seen any fake Lifeproof in the market? If yes, mind to post up what is the different or how to identify a fake Lifeproof case, beside the pricing different.

Also, I wonder, will the fake Lifeproof case pass the water test? which I believe all the Lifeproof case user know that we shd perform water test before before using it.

So, can I say if water test ok, it shd be genuine? Or better still if u can give us some guide on how to identify fake Lifeproof case.

Best if u can get one, compare, take some pics and post it up.

Coz, who know the seller saw your post and set their price at 299, then we won't know liao is it fake or genuine

Becoz I think, they might be able to make it exactly the same or very close to the genuine case in terms of the out look. But I don't think they can make it 100% water proof like genuine Lifeproof case and still maintain it toughness, light weight and slim.
