go to Lifeproof, read and understand the warranties covered. the warranty only cover the casing, not the phone, in case it really got water damage. although 299 is not alot of money, but still, just understand what you're committing into.

Yes it's true. Lifeproof has mentinoed from day 1 that they will only cover the warranty of the case to avoid a "moral hazard" as there will be others who may abuse this and start claiming new iphones from Lifeproof.
