Bro, How much is lifeproof case? Is it RM 350 fix price? I am really interested and can't wait to get it.. I did do pre-order b4 but, till now did not receive any confirmation from Life proof...
If anyone of you want to order please let me know. I have the go-ahead on ordering from Lifeproof so the earlier you confirm your order (like the first 25 LYN members) the earlier you will get your Lifeproof.
IP 68? Now that's what I call extreme protection. Anything above an IP 55 is frankly quite amazing. Even most electrical motors in critical systems don't go beyond 55 too often. This case here ladies and gents is proper engineering stuff.
Just thought I'd put in my two pence worth for the doubters...from someone who deals with engineering standards on a day-to-day basis.
If I was feeling richer I'd most definitely get one. 350 for a case is a bit much though I can understand why, and discount the notion of it being overpriced. A lot of RnD wen into this, especially to conform to the form factor.
well said marquis... this case is definitely worth it. Comparing to Vapor Pro aluminium bumper which is just a metal band around the phone. And for that minimal protection it costs around 150USD (more so with shipping and tax)
17th June..? dont have a chance for me to try snorkeling with it... since im going to langkawi (pulau payar) on the 18th June... can't wait anymore...lol
Thumbs up for great product..
As much as I'd like to get the case for you guys ASAP... some things cannot be forced. Additional orders placed will be shipped in 1st week of July.

Lifeproof, is there a limit to how many times we can drop the case before it loses it's water tight seal ? I tend to drop my phone on a daily basis and the ottebox I have saves it every time but then again it isn't water tight so I don't have to worry about breaking a seal. Just curious about this. If this has been answered repeatedly I apologize. Way to many post to go back thru every one. I remember reading that taking the case on and off over 50 x's the case is in jeopardy of losing it's seal. Thanks in advanced for any responses.
Lifeproof Answers
We have done literally many hundreds (perhaps thousands) of drop tests onto concrete and other surfaces so we have a lot of experience. The answer to your question is not simple. It depends what surface it drops onto, the distance dropped, where on the case it drops, and how rough the surface is. Our phones generally fared better in the LifeProof case than the Otterbox from a shock perspective. However you need to be aware that (A) with ANY case impact damage to your iPhone from high-G drops can cause cumulative damage - especially to the GPS, Camera, and Wifi functions. The damage may be latent and appear at a later date - so we recommend you avoid intentionally dropping your phone even though your phone will do infinitely better being dropped in a LifeProof case than without one. (B) If the case is punctured, torn, gouged, cracked, split, or the latches severely dented from extreme impacts then the waterproof capabilities can be compromised. If you have a large impact we recommend you perform a waterproof test without the iPhone inside before you go submarine. Bottom line - Don't abuse it and it will service you well. Treat it with the same respect you would treat a climbing rope, scuba gear, or parachute if you want to depend on it. Keep it maintained and inspected if it is employed in extremely HEAVY DUTY use just as you would a piece of military specialized hardware. Best with your adventures!
