Hi ... expected arrival time is late-April 2011.i already accidentally 'bathed' my iPhone 3G, I'm gonna make sure that doesn't happen with iPhone4.
I know what you mean... I almost drenched my iPhone 4 when my siblings decided to play a prank and throw water balloons at me...

Lifeproof responds to the public...
Q: How bulky is the life proof case for the iPhone 4 , the otterbox are nice just too big.
A: LifeProof only adds 1mm more thickness to the device. With LifeProof there is no trade-off between great protection, convenience, and beautiful aesthetics. While others in the market may be about protection, we offer protection, and above that, freedom - freedom to go anywhere in any occasion with your mobile companion. LifeProof is like a black cocktail dress made out of kevlar!
Q: How scratch resistant is the front screen? Can't wait!
A: It is coated to be very scratch resistant. Thanks for your enthusiasm!
Q: Will the seal wear down over removing and reinstalling the case ?
A: To answer your seal question, the seals will be able to handle about 10,000 cycles. This means that your LifeProof seals will last about 10 years if you open and close your ports and seals about 3 times a day.
Q: ok, and what is the min & max temp of water should be..??
A: As per Apple's recommendations, your iPhone should not go above or below 0'-30' C. Although we have done extensive testing to temperatures as low as -20' C and as high as 55'C, we would be liable to recommend that you do so.
Q: but how can we answer phone calls in water, can we hear the calls inside water, is there any openings in the front facing camera , I wonder how does it work when talking !!!
A: You can answer the phone and still make calls, but the screen functionality is somewhat limited under water because of the way the phone developers have designed the screen. There is no need to take the phone out of the LifeProof at all. Once you have answered the phone or made a call above water, you can take it under and they will be able to experience your underwater adventure as well. We will still be able to use camera and audio functions with zero degradation. So you will be able to film or do Facetime underwater.
Q: I've been using an OtterBox for both my 3Gs and now my 4. They had a specific problem that prevented the phone from being completely enclosed. The speakers at the bottom (and now the top too) would echo to the person you were calling. The sound would come out and hit the 'seal', and echo back into the mouth piece. OB remedied it by taking the 'seal' out. With the LifeProof being totally enclosed, I'm curious to see how this is dealt with. I work in the elements and anything that will protect my tech is definitely with investing in. Thanks for your efforts.
A: Thanks for writing. One of the LifeProof innovation is that it allows sound to be distributed around the device so that the whole device acts as a subwoofer or speaker itself. Sound quality is actually better with LifeProof than without. There is zero degradation in audio and visual quality.
Q: Can you easily take it on and off?
A: Yes you can. Its just two pieces
Q: I like otterbox. But this thing is chunky.
A: Others in the market focus protection. We offer great protection, but above that we offer freedom - freedom to go anywhere with your device. We have designed LifeProof to not only offer great protection, but to be convenient and beautiful - all in a sleek and slim design that is only 1mm thicker than the device itself. We hope you give LifeProof a chance to win you over! Cheers!
Q: This looks fantastic - I have had a waterproof case before but could not take any photos underwater. Does your case have the facility to take photos and control the photo button underwater ?
A: Because the phone device itself is designed to respond capacitively, the device cannot differentiate between water and a finger underwater. What you can do, is start movies and film an underwater adventure. Another solution is downloading an app that takes timed photos.
(My respond: there is a Cydia App that lets u take photos with the volume buttons)
Q: any idea when the cases will be available?
A: LifeProof will be out in April!
