Hi,

Recently got a new LCD. I would like to send output from my PC to this LCD, via wireless hdmi. My PC is just too far from the LCD and if I do wiring, it will need to run on the floor, which will be troublesome and messy. Anyone got any idea?

How far? Still open space?

Take a look at this one. But it require line of sight between Tx & Rx.

Erm actually my PC is about 3-4 meters from the LCD but if can, I really can't have cable on the floor cause got people walking around. If I put cable then I would need to connect and disconnect the cables sad.gif

I can't move my PC and yea, I like to view HD movie as well. About the Warpia wireless solution, seems to be quite expensive though.

What I had in mind was to actually change my graphic card to a new one that support wireless HDMI (one model has this feature at the moment) but it seems like not yet available in Malaysia.

So it was asking whether anyone else has ideas or not tongue.gif

You want quality but you're not willing to pay for quality. If you want to use the latest tech out there, and wireless HDMI IS the latest tech in HDMI, then you must be willing to pay for it. Otherwise, don't bring it up.

Think about it. If wireless HDMI is cheap, then it would be a standard feature in PCs, laptops, receivers, HDTVs and HD projectors.

Understood. Just hope got other cheaper solutions. And can I find this here? If can, maybe can really think about it.

I'm actually looking for this card but nowhere to be found here since I would prefer to extend my PC display to the LCD as well. You got any source for this card?

I've read some review about this but the only thing wireless would be thru the Wifi streaming? I'll KIV this one as well.

Lol, as of now, I'm still using my thumbdrive to transfer movies to a media player connected to the LCD tv, which is quite troublesome.

Why not upgrade your media player to a WiFi capable one with HDD ... probably cheaper than wireless HDMI?

Even if WiFi streaming is too slow, at least you can transfer your files to the player

Maybe will use this kind of solution for now. Anyway, apart from Asus O!Play Air, any other brand that you may know?

most media player with Lan capability (and WIFI dongle) and support rtsp or http streaming would do. I think cheap one is Seagate Theater HD can support, not too sure though
