wow... looks like we are the fastest moving thread in this sub-forum, already surpass Desire, now moving toward Galaxy S (with V14).

hand itchy go setup google checkout with my cc and bought 2 apps - Widget Locker 2.0 and PowerAmp. Now no more annoying "reminders" pop up.

has been very busy lately, couldn't keep up with you guys anymore, moving so fast with all the discussion on custom rom. I still stop my mod at purely root only. My Desire (using by my wife now) with custom rom has some little problems here and there, can't seems to find a rock stable custom rom up to today. Every rom will have some minor issue.

But even my DHD stock rom have some issue too - yesterday my battery left about 3%, I plug in my charger, the phone straight away restart itself. It is the first time this happen, although not a concern at all but just an abnormally, maybe.

Added on March 1, 2011, 3:35 pmFull and Trial is the same quality, no? Just that full version let you save your equaliser and other setting. Tried a few music player - default app, poweramp, winamp, etc. and still find the poweramp has best sound quality.

but Desire HD can also be used as a music player, so I think we dun see the point of getting an extra Ipod touch to carry around.

I upgraded from Desire. For comparison, Desire HD battery life is only 15% (at the most) less than Desire. Previously, under moderate high usage, my Desire will last me 18 hours. Now Desire HD will last me about 15 hours or so. It is just a rough estimate.

The battery life is really not a deal breaker, so dun bother about it. If you are really a super heavy users with nothing else to do other than playing with your phone , get a 5000mAh mobile booster. For normal working adult like me who do not have much time to touch the phone during working hours - a full 1 to 1.5 days battery life is ok.

Once you upgrade to DHD 4.3", you will find the Desire's 3.7" is really tiny..lol.... although on paper, they are only 0.6" difference.

where is the "legendary" comes from? Just a middle-age bald-head uncle.

I still play with the Desire frequently. Flashing rom for it about every fortnight. If there is anything I wish the Desire HD has - it will be the physical track button of the Desire. Pressing it to wake up the phone is so much easier and responsive. Even if with WidgetLocker, there is only 3 buttons on Desire HD to wake up the phone. We already using the 3 buttons quite frequently.

lol... why except AskarPerang. I got my clear SP from him, so far so good.

No problem whatsover. Yes, it cover the headset and usb port so dust will not get in. The rubber/silicone part that cover the port is very thick and sturdy. So will not break out even if you open it frequently.

can just use any 3.5mm audio cable - both end with 3.5mm plug. One end to the car audio and the other end to your DHD. But not every car audio has the Aux input. I have tested few cable, better cable do make a difference in audio quality.

Sh*t!!!!! you guys make me very tempted to flash Revolution 3. The loud speaker volume is the main reason - always miss calls coz i din hear the phone rings.

But must consider the consequence of losing 2 years warranty...resist.. must resist flashing.....

Now have stock rom available for DHD already? I thought last time the only way to get our stock rom is backup our own. BTW, how is the stability of the Revolution ROM? My Desire custom rom will hang and act strangely randomly, can't stand it.

Can try following steps:
1. Switch on your GPS.
2. Start Papago X5.
3. Remove your casing if you are using one - just to make sure your casing is not the culprit.
4. Put your Desire HD directly under the sky, preferably on a cloudless day. Definitely NOT indoor under the roof. Btw, Johor Bahru has a clear sky now, not a piece of cloud, damn hot. Best time to test GPS.
5. Wait................. for 5 to 30 minutes, be patient. It will lock the GPS eventually but the first time will take a while.
6. After a successful lock, the subsequent lock will take only seconds.

Hope you can get it works. Papago X5 is a good app and more so when you have malfreemaps monthly update of the map.

you using any casing? My Desire HD covered fully with Otterbox Defender only needs few seconds to lock the GPS, the most 1 minute. But I do use it at least once a week to keep the locking fast. if you are not using it for long time, confirm it will take longer time to lock the GPS.

agree....reading this thread to keep up is already so tiring.... where got time to visit other places in LYN.

btw, regarding the flashing back to original RUU for warranty purpose, I am thinking since we will receive Gingerbread update in the near future (official statement from HTC is Q2 2011), we will have a more "general" RUU than our current rather specific ROM version. Then we will have less worry to backup our own rom for warranty purpose. Is this concept correct? Hand itchy want to flash custom rom already but the warranty issue still holding me back.

zzzzz... you put it at the thread title and i thought HTC already officially release it. should put "gingerbread beta for custom rom available".

The HTCSense.com is supposed to have this sms backup function but too bad until now HTC still not yet fix it.

Maybe you can try install handcent, another sms app, see whether it will "read" the sms database or not.

i have tweekdeck, sense and facebook sync but i think calender never ever appear in my battery usage list.
