Can try following steps:
1. Switch on your GPS.
2. Start Papago X5.
3. Remove your casing if you are using one - just to make sure your casing is not the culprit.
4. Put your Desire HD directly under the sky, preferably on a cloudless day. Definitely NOT indoor under the roof. Btw, Johor Bahru has a clear sky now, not a piece of cloud, damn hot. Best time to test GPS.
5. Wait................. for 5 to 30 minutes, be patient. It will lock the GPS eventually but the first time will take a while.
6. After a successful lock, the subsequent lock will take only seconds.

Hope you can get it works. Papago X5 is a good app and more so when you have malfreemaps monthly update of the map.

I think you misunderstand my reply, it's for winterx question regarding gps.
But luckily other members had replied for radio.

That's why I just recommend that we make eng s-off the first time we root dhd.

but everytime mine will take about 5-10 minutes to lock ...

All right I have successfully eng s-off my DHD. Now how do I check the CID thing? Or it doesn't matter what CID i have?

you using any casing? My Desire HD covered fully with Otterbox Defender only needs few seconds to lock the GPS, the most 1 minute. But I do use it at least once a week to keep the locking fast. if you are not using it for long time, confirm it will take longer time to lock the GPS.

for getting faster gps lock, install the apps "FasterFix" and set the server to asia server..

For the GPS you can try an app called GPS status in market it is free. It display all the satellite available.

To fasten the lock time u may enable mobile network 1st and on gps. After locked then u can off mobile to prevent excessive battery drain. So far no prob on my papago x5.

do u use 4square?
use it frequently and ur gps will lock quicker.

Guys i facing a prob with my phone:

Phone suddenly crash and will show the sim key pin screen. It happens like 2 - 3 days once. Its not a restart because my temp root is still there. Anyone facing this issue?

yeah, still on 2.1, and not happy of its relatively short battery life.

do we need to flash for new radio for revoHD 3.0?
