for big screen like 40"...2 meter is a reasonable range

If CRACK, that is not sound made by the game. That CRACK sound comes from the console and it's normal.
PSN is still down because of a certain CFW which I will not mention here. Sony is fixing it and will make an annoucement when PSN will go live. When it does be prepared to download a new firmware update.

Seems that certain CFW allowed hackers to access the PSN developer network and download PSN games for free as well as hack into other PSN user's account. All this started because pirates wanted to cheat in COD

Hi, I just fixed my YLOD PS3 40GB by re-flowing using hot gun  but I found out when I start the system, it showed "Cannot Start, The correct hard disk was not found."

Previously before I fixed my PS3, I connected the hard disk to PC using SATA cable and trying to copy the data out. I click OK when it prompt to allocate the hard disk drive (some message like that) then I click no when it prompt to format the hard drive. I've tried to restore it in the recovery mode but I was getting error for that.

Can anyone please help me as I need my save game data back. I don't want to replay my level 30 GT5 again! Thanks and appreciate very much for your help.

my ps3 slim now need to 'warm up' before can do anything. leave idle for bout 1 hour then only can play.

just to make it clear.you buy a ps-->go online with the ps update what ever needs to be updated-->reg for warranty etc.so let say this problem about site down/not accessible etc etc happends we should call sony center so that they can reg right?or is there any other way?
