Hi iam having problem with my PS3 connecting to my TV via HDMI

just recently when ever iam gaming the picture goes blank.

just today when i switch on my television is a blank screen.

i try doing a reset but still nothing.

i switch to the composite cable n it works. iam not sure whats going on here

my tv got 3 hdmi in, one is use for my pc n its ok.

i have tried a different HDMI cable also nothing is coming out.

i did that i tried one by one on each HDMI port on my tv

i tired doing this connect both the HDMI and composite from the PS3 to the tv

i'll do a soft reset

i'll switch to channel the composite is on and its says HDMI detected do you like to use video and audio output from HDMI.

i press ok and switch the channel the HDMI is on. its still blank.

iam not sure what the problem is. is it coming from the PS3 or TV.

cause i connect my pc to tv via HDMI n it works fine.

could anyone tell me how to solve the hdmi problem

i've tried doing soft rest, nothing works
i've tried using different hdmi cable, nothing works
i've tried using a different HDMI port on my tv still nothing
my pc who's hooked up to my tv via hdmi works on all of the tv's hdmi ports

i dont know what to do

theres no select 720p, its select HDMI yes or no thats about it.

n yes i've tried what u suggested by using vga cable first, its still nothing



something really weird, like what tashfinsheikh said, i did that way using VGA cable n HDMI cable when i switch on my PS3 to AV channel it says HDMI detected so it gives me the option to use it, i select ok and switch the channel to my HDMI n its still blank.

i did that, i use the HDMI cable that my PC is using still nothing.

i plug in the PC with the ps3 hdmi cable it works on all of my TV'S hdmi port

i dont really understand, when n where do i do that...

i've tried it using av cable to set my HDMI n its still nothing

u see when i select HDMI iam not given any choice to select any other options on resolutions, all i get is a blank black screen.

sorry bud tried it nothing happens, like i said then n now all i get is a blank screen

could someone shine some light on this, my tv is 16:9
when i set my HDMI i can only select 740p.

because when i select 1080i and 1080p my tv is able to display picture, except for the fact when i switch on my PS3 again i get a blank screen n when i tired everything nothing happens.

my PS3 is MY set, is it better i download the asian firmware or can i also download the US firmware

which HDMI version is suitable or best for PS3

is it ver 1.3a, ver 1.3b, ver 1.3, or ver 1.4

will buying an expensive HDMI cable make any difference
