confirmed.. i got 1 SG set before..
power supply issue.. talk with Sony Service Center..
they only entertain MY Set (even if warranty voided also they'll fix.. but u need to pay lah)
other set bye bye bye..

so i sent back to Heroes Tavern to get da SG set problem sorted out..
Leo sent the console to SONY SG for fixing..
very easy.. no need to go to SG or anything..

so the best still get MY set unless we stay in Johor

they said it depends on the problem..
i have not repaired my 80GB set yet..

Can pay extra to extend longer warranty?I really scare the repair fees will be almost the same as buying a new one

afaik cannot..the only extended warranty for PS3 is via online registration that we get 3 months extra warranty

hye.. my ps3 has been hit by Ylod. still can play but hard to turn it on.. take a few minutes of ON and OFF..

anyone here know where to repair? and how much it usually cost? :?

the games forum in garage sales got people offering to repair ylod. last time i saw the price was around RM80 but no guarantee that ylod will not come back after repair.

aiyaa... no guarantee.. :/ do i have to buy the new one? the ps3 is with me since 2008
