Ok i just bought 320GB for RM1099 at sony centre the curve. they have no 3000 series.. only 2506B.... Btw, how do i register my warranty? the warranty page is down for maintenance? Its been like that for quite awhile?

Warranty can be registered online. Just check the 1st page for the PSN Malaysia website.

Yo dubschronicles, did you get HDMI cable when purchased your PS3? You have to keep trying their website. Last time, when I register for my warranty, it show the website under maintenance too. You have to sign up for PSN ID first then follow steps from the purple/PSN manual book which came with PS3.

why ps3 doesnt make bundle with free games like xbox360..it will make the package looks interesting..

It depends on the retailer unless its on pack bundle already lie COD Black Ops / Top Spin 4 . etc where the PS3 comes with a game and maybe accessory inside.

Unfortunately the retail market here doesn't sell bundles but if you go Singapore, you can see some retailersn packaged their PS3 with choice of games / accessory, etc. Even when I was in UK they also sell PS3 bundles which differ by retailer.

hi guys...ive got some problems here.. i got an old sony lcd ..model klv-32s550a..it have hdmi input...but when i tried to connect them..there is no display shows up... also alrdy set it to hdmi mode...what i have to do..any ideas how to solve this problms..ty.. =D

3000 series ps3 model don't have led lights for HDD & WiFi. Also the heat sink and the exhaust fan is smaller. So 2500 series ps3 is actually better then 3000 series.

Sony has 'no desire' to release a new home console

A successor to the PlayStation 3 won’t be released until developers are unable to improve on games for current-generation hardware, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has revealed.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Yoshida stated his belief that there is no need to make the transition to next-generation hardware providing companies are still able to create new and interesting experiences for consumers.

"Looking at the platform cycle, when the platform becomes something game developers are not able to improve their creations with, that's the time we have to really seriously consider shifting to the next generation," he commented.

"As far as we are concerned, we have no desire now to do that [release a new home console]," Yoshida explained.

"Gamers always need something new and more exciting. If they're seeing just similar types of games coming year after year, they will quickly lose their interest.

"Looking like that, when you see games coming out on PS3, both the traditional type of games as well as new kind of games using PS Move, there is a lot more we can do from the game development standpoint.

"So as long as we and our developers can create new experiences that are more exciting to consumers, I see no need to transition into newer generation."

Chatter on next-gen formats has kicked up a gear over the past few months, with Microsoft heavily rumored to unveil its new console at E3 next year. Nintendo, of course, is already prepping the successor to the Wii for a 2012 launch.

A few companies have voiced their disdain for a new console generation however, most notably THQ’s Danny Bilson, who said back in January that making the jump to new harware “would be horrible.”

Hahaha, so maybe marketing can do some gimmick with the number 4

ANyway, if PS4 come in 2014, they'll announce it in next year E3 / TGS. For me that's the earliest they;ll do it but since this announcement maybe will be only out in 2015.

Bear in mind no game has filled put the BD ray capacity yet and I remember Naughty DOg said they only tapped into about 20-30% potential for UC2 (maybe near 50% for UC3) so still got room to go.

Somehow i do agree with it.There is a lot for developer to do until the released of next generation console.Some game like Enslaved is badly optimized (performance drop) or graphics that's like PS2 standard.
