should be no related with the monitor since the monitor is FHD....mine working perfectly when i play at my dell 24" monitor...like u said...he should check the setting in his PS3

jesus, ylod problem is because of the thermal paste and not because of psu. i would love to see that guy's ps3 explode in his face when he changes the psu.

the ps3 might shutdown from time to time... not ylod, just autoshutdown straightaway

maybe u can try to REPLACE the current thermal paste. lapping the Heatsink can help to reduce the temp

ATTENTION! It has come to my attention that the APS-231 power supply isn't fully compatible with early PS3 systems made on Nov 2006 and before. Users have reported problems playing Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 Beta, where the power supply would stop working playing these games. PS3 systems made in Jan 2007 and later don't have this issue. (I have not gotten feedback on systems made in Dec 2006) If you have one of these affected systems you may not want to invest in a new power supply, or at the very least hold on to your old power supply if you have any problems. erghhh...but i never saw a yellow light flash at the indicator...

My PS3 keep turning itself off with two beeps and the the red light keep flashing. At first I thought it is due to BD disc but also happen when playing PSN game. Then try different games, and it works fine.
