The push email function will deliver the mail to your phone the moment you receive at your inbox. No need update interval.

You need to download and install Samsung Email from Samsung Apps for use with live email with push notification.

thats mean our gmail gonna push the mail to our phone instead of our phone check for the update from our gmail right? do we have to set anything at our gmail?

Yes. Nothing much to do other than register your gmail account at your phone and everything is auto from there on.

If you use gmail only, the gmail app is sufficient. No settings are required except entering your email address and password.

yeah..the gmail is ok nod.gif ..just wondering about the hotmail mail push..why do we use exchange server instead of IMAP or POP..

POP: polls on regular basis from your phone
IMAP: today's standard of email. Gmail uses this on your computer's Outlook but not the push mail on your phone.
Exchange: Microsoft Exchange platform. Email, contacts and calendar through an exchange account. Push capable.

It is running on one of the latest XXJQ1 modem. Battery life is okay for me. No major complaints...

As for the theme, why don't you flash first and see whether you can live with the Honeycomb 2.1 theme..if you really don't like, yes you can just flash other Themes onto it.

Yes, you can flash the 2.5 theme (according to Simone).

At the moment I have also downloaded additional themes like Spectrum, Sense and Paul Diddy. Might try one of them tonight

can provide the link to download other theme for simply rom? TIA..

You can straight away flash that 2.6 non-wipe. If you come across trouble, you can always use odin to flash stock rom.
*
QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Mar 18 2011, 10:44 PM)
Why do you want to flash back to stock ROM? You just need to boot into CWM to apply the wipe version of the 2.6 zipfile.
*
thanx both kmrdeva and gmhafiz..i just flashed from my 2.4wipe to 2.6non-wipe..everything seems to be ok until now.. a bit worry coz the first boot was around 5min.. sweat.gif sweat.gif

this is my first time on damian kernel..is there any setting to apply lagfix or change it to ext4 like hardcore?

if you wanna try undervolting, take 1 step at a time, from the lowest value

overclocking should be fine, it's up to you smile.gif
*
thanx yaa..converting right now..for the undervolting, is actually for what?i never try that b4..

undervolting means your cpu will consume less power to handle stuffs -> thus reduce battery drain

for example , 25uv and 100uv

100uv basically consumes less power than 25uv.. thus lesser battery drain with 100uv

BUT it depends on your phone whether it can handle high uv value or not. so you have to test every value till your phone is fully stable without any random freeze
*
QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Mar 19 2011, 12:07 AM)
meaning draw less volt from the battery. thus, giving longer battery life. if too much undervolt, can make the phone unstable. how much you can undervolt varies from one phone to another so like Fornaxlife said, step by step.

Yes. Everything is intact. Remember to delete dalvik cache otherwise you'll face many FC.
