Not sure. But you can always flash to a JS7 based ROM to get the browser.Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Official Thread V14, Galaxy S, live on a smart life

QUOTE(shinchan820000 @ Mar 13 2011, 11:31 PM) i need opinion and help here.i'm going to buy galaxy s tomorrow.what should i check before i completely done my payment tomorrow ? like to check the pakacge, what shoud included in the pakacge ? the phone, what should i check to make sure it is ori ..and etc... ?? that is important for my phone. 3 things which is important to check:1. 3 buttons recovery/download mode 2. Running Froyo 3. Checking GPS Other than the above, you might want to check whether it is a SuperAmoled or SCLCD and your phone IMEI tally with the IMEI no. that sticks at the back of your phone. |

QUOTE(shinchan820000 @ Mar 14 2011, 12:41 AM) how to check the phone running froyo or other version.*1234# ? Menu>Settings>About Phone>Firmware version = 2.2 what shout i check about the gps ? i dont really understand what the problem of SGS's gps. Pull down notification bar from top, press on GPS, press back, open Googlemaps whether it is a superAmoled or SCLCD,just differentiate it by looking at the screen or have another method ? This I am not sure. and..what is IMEI tally with the IMEI no.i dont know that.and for what purpose to check that thing as an important thing to check. You said want to check whether it is original, so IMEI no check is the best way. Open phone, dial *#06#, IMEI pop out. See whether it is the same with the sticker at the back of your phone behind the battery. sorry to many question.i'm still noobies to galaxy s.. QUOTE(fongzai92 @ Mar 14 2011, 12:43 AM) how long do you guys' galaxy s to finish searching the gps signal ? mine take quite long. just now night time i try dont even can get the signal up to 5 minutes. im running sweethoney 2.5 Mine on SweetHoney 2.5. What ROM you are using now? Just worry about compatibility issue.Reboot the phone get swype from here https://beta.swype.com/android/get/ Make sure you're registered first |

QUOTE(mikecmy @ Mar 14 2011, 04:18 PM) You need to root to use titanium backup. If you use Kies, you only can backup contacts and calendar only, for this you can do a sync to gmail can do already. Kies cannot backup your apps+data, sms, etc. QUOTE(cradle0fFilth @ Mar 14 2011, 04:18 PM) me too. But I will try damiangto again in 2.6. QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Mar 15 2011, 02:10 PM) Hi sifus , need a bit of help here . I just upgraded to Darky's ROM . However , I noticed that I do not have CWM recovery . Mind to point to a direction to get it ? I did it by this way .... Froyo 2.2 > 9.2 via Odin > 9.3 after installing the Darky's application . Are you sure no CWM? It is built into Darky ROM. Maybe it is a Voodoo CWM you see.*p/s : Official Ginger is out , anyone tried it ? |

^I remember the Maxis guy told me to send in the warranty card within 1 week upon purchase. Maybe they have a record by checking your IC.

QUOTE(ali_double_seven @ Mar 16 2011, 03:04 PM) hellooo sifus..how often the push gmail update interval if we auto-sync? and how if i wanna set my live email to be push like gmail? The push email function will deliver the mail to your phone the moment you receive at your inbox. No need update interval. You need to download and install Samsung Email from Samsung Apps for use with live email with push notification. |

QUOTE(ali_double_seven @ Mar 16 2011, 03:30 PM) thats mean our gmail gonna push the mail to our phone instead of our phone check for the update from our gmail right? do we have to set anything at our gmail? Yes. Nothing much to do other than register your gmail account at your phone and everything is auto from there on. |

QUOTE(TarePanda @ Mar 16 2011, 04:29 PM) May I know how to inactive this? Or switch off all the auto on9/check mail/connect to internet function? You can switch off your data by press and hold the power button longer. Then your background apps, emails, or whatever will not be able to use your data plan. Save battery too. Is it just switch off all the wifi/gps then ok? I don't have data plan and i with Maxis (blood sucker, if careless!!) If you want to keep your data on and be selective, you can go to settings>accounts n sync>background sync=off |
